    What chainsaw do you have? Would you ever use a battery chainsaw??

      What is up with the 5ah? Does it overheat and shut off allot and run out of battery power way worse and faster than the 6ah? Mine is literally out for delivery, on a Sunday I Guess (Fedex), and I was thinking about returning it, because I here bad reviews about the thing barely making cuts, and now I am thinking its the 5ah battery, and it needs the 6ah or even 7.5ah, and add a new battery up into the mix, and a few more bucks and I could buy a small professional saw, that would have the same power... Also do you think using a 7.5ah would appear to give it more power like using the 6ah instead of the 5ah?

      @@randyross5630 That's a good question. We will continue to do some testing with the 5ah and the 6ah. The stump we are cutting was like cutting concrete so we will cut other trees down with the 5ah batteries to see what happens.

      @@randyross5630, did you get the chainsaw? Would you recommend it?

      Over about 5 years I've used battery chainsaws. my sunjoe 16" has lasted a good long time but the chain speed is a little slow and it is time for a upgrade (it cuts just fine). I purchased a 12" brush less chainsaw from Ryobi (18 volt) and what a difference. So I will be getting a 18" from Ryobi.

    Nice tool. I bought one just like it few days ago and will put it to use soon. Hope It does the job. 😅 and thanks for the tips. I will velcro on some sort of lighting device just to work in darkness.😂

    The 6Ah likely spreads the current demand over more cells which would reduce the voltage sag at the low end. The 5Ah have to supply more amps per cell and therefore once the battery gets a little low the load on the pack likely pulls the voltage below the cut-off temporarily.. then the voltage rises again under no load to show there is still juice. The 5Ah should produce more heat at the same time since the load per cell is greater. Just image lifting a full grocery bag with just 1 finger vs. 4-5..

    It did the job. It was a good work out for it as well.

    Boy you sure hit something. That chain is duller than a mud fence!

    Your are hard on your toys! I have the same model but would not sure I would use it for that. Also, typically I will take the battery out when changing the chain out. Also, will sharpen it about every other use. All in all, I love it. How do you like yours?

      We have to see what they can do!! Yeah we have a few of these Ryobi Chainsaws and they are great.

    I would not use a chainsaw to take out that stump. I would instead, buy some charcoal and burn it out. That would also kill the termites

      Yeah that’s the smartest way but we wanted to see what the chainsaw could do

    I have NEVER seen anybody abuse a chainsaw as much as you did! DULL IS DULL! STOP using a chain when it stops cutting!

  • @mrspin3315
    @mrspin3315 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't think that is a good use for a chainsaw, that old wood is almost to hard to cut well.
