Keep that mindset! Always! I'm not on his level, but even as a lower level guy, it gets hard. Sam does show his mistakes and downfalls, but so many young guys rage quit because it seems like it's ALWAYS something. And the younger guys say "I want whatbhe has" but they don't see the work that it took to get there. But stay inspired. The guys like Sam who did make it, even through struggle, kept in mind of where they wanted to t!ke their journey.
25:02 your hose clamp for the turbo is loose. It moved when you revved it, this build is so insane. It’s dope seeing you rebuild your engine once again even after a huge set back🔥
You deserve Legend status for your content these days. Sick cars. Always lots of footage. Amazing montages. Doing the work yourself. Waifu to die for. You are effing slaying the game imo.
Back in 2010 I did a "top end rebuild" on my trailbike in the woods just outside Narbone, France with some parts from a local dealer and a pencil case full of tools. The bike made it 4000km more off road through the pyrenees, Spain and Portugal. Good times.
For a quick alignment tool you can use a socket inside a bigger socket and use duct tape around the socket to make the small socket snug. And also to make the bigger socket snug on the clutch.
You can print with 3D printers some tools , like the clutch alignment one. There are a few free models on the web or you can create one from 0. I discover this recently and is mind blowing xd. They work great
Honestly man, I have to give you kudos. I've been working on cars for 20 years and seeing this whole thing be built on stream and on the channel, I was completely impressed. Your attention to detail on every install definitely blew me away. Normally I kind of just throw things together. This thing should be mint.
if you care to get rid of the clicking, it's either your mode door motor or the air mix door motor, gotta take the gear motor apart and lube it up with white lithium grease and put it back together and just go into the diagnostic mode of your dcc to get the motors back on their electrical tracts
Would've just taken the bell housing off the cd009 and used it as the clutch alignment tool and saved some time as long as its not filled with fluid cause then youd soak the clutch with gear oil
It's nice to hear your motor start up so smoothly. You've been through alot brother and i'm happy things are looking better for you and your rides. Keep the content coming and I appreciate your hard work. Thanks for everything.
(Also, believe the carbon monoxide alarm.) Also, usually if anything goes 'super late,' I prefer to recheck everything and delay the gratification till the morning after another set of checks. Cause super-late. :)
Love the content and can’t wait for rem to arrive and see more work done on rem and hearing the mighty SR and for the moment that push through is assignment is due tomorrow and gets it done at late time and gets pass it a moment of joy that pays pff
00:22:22 Can anybody explain if the tap water would suitable for the cooling system? Sam, do you have any filtration on tap water to fill any coolant from the wall tap? We use distilled water anytime for smaller amounts too.
Sam, could you please tell how you achieved that finish on the SR’s valve cover? Beautiful. It looks like a candy color over a bare aluminum w/ designs sanded into it. But wanted to ask nonetheless. Thanks in advance
I'm so stoked you got the engine in the S15 and that motor sounded healthy and how it started right up, definitely good things ahead.
That engine is so nice man I want to be like you when I'm older
Facts bro so inspirational 🥺
I do too man

saw this too haha
I thought on one of his previous videos he said it’s supposed to rotate under pressure on the turbo inlet
@@marvinthomas5633 wicked, I’m new to cars so that definitely didn’t seem good but damn that things sick
That’s normal lol, that’s how those clamps are
How can you think that the rest of the engine is fine when the turbo clamp moved???
She’s alive! Keep pushing. I’m in a moment in life where I need to push through. Thanks for encouraging
Once you started up the SR20 I was shocked at how damn good it sounds. Congratulations on the second engine build going so smoothly!

I always pull the plugs too. it helps the engine spin faster, and less stress on the starter while just spinning it.
Turns but wont fire to flood the engine with oil first...

Gotta say been watching for the past year or so, video quality gets better each time
Living the American (well Canadian in my case) dream in Japan, Japan is so beautiful definitely my next go to place
Sounds great ... can't wait to see it on the road again

Get a big white board and have a checklist written so you won't forget anything and it can also help us see the process in proper order
That engine start was crazy smooth. Great job.

That smile when it all started must've made it worthwhile! Kudos to Khan for staying, what a legend
all the time NEVER STOP NEVER QUIT..

Sweet!!! Motor sounds smooth and healthy!!! Glad it all came together and crank and ran so smooth!
Hey Sam. Spray that gold oil block adapter with brake cleaner and the anodising will wipe off.
Great job 👍.... My all nighter was my CPS on the 7mgte, I cut and soldered the wires. They want $450 on ebay for used, mine is working good for now

Awesome video Sammit I have worked crazy over time and I was able to get my 04 blobeye sti enjoy driving it everyday.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sam's smile explains it all
Cut a piece of 1/16 inch sheet metal to the size between the most top and bottom spline groove and long enough to pass thru the full clutch
The engine sounded soo good it gave me eargasm
(Also, believe the carbon monoxide alarm.)

I'm so glad that the SR21 is back for action! Congrats, Sam!!! Can't wait to see the S15 drifting again
IT'S ALIVE ! I'm hyped to see Ram on track again now
Just an absolute beautiful car want to build one like your some day
never had the moment where i grinded to get or do something without failling something or braking something
Jus a little safety tip next time when bending over the top of the engine I was studying how your hoodie string could’ve been caught in something
When that started I was so happy for you it was so quiet .💯👍🤘
Gotta hear some whistle.... 😆 Sounds good,👍 guarantee it's running better without a piston slapping around in there
I miss when all I use to have to do was assemble stuff, these days I mod everything and it takes forever!
Hose clamp for turbo is loose and it moved when you rev it at the 25:02 mark
If you tuned it and fixed it cosmeticly this car is going to be a piece of art
when I heard it start I got real hyped.
be nice to see you this excited about the long lost skyline from this channel
25:05 a clamp is loosen up!!!! It's cool that it started but pls chek the clamp!!!
That's a good first start up man 👍👍
Clamp for ya boost pipe intercooler to turbo is a bit lose when you gave it a rev
Love the way khan is jus laying on the floor next to you not doing nowt just like a shop dog lol! 👍🏻👍🏻
If you ever get stuck with an alignment tool just Find someone with a lathe and turn one up to slide in snug
Awesome seeing the s15 back up and running. Did you put threadlocker on the clutch bolts ?

Haha yolo f*ck the threadlock 😂
The V band on the turbo outlet (hotside?) was moving around 25:00.
Carbon Monoxide (one of the most powerful poisons in the world) alarm activates:
"Sammit, not impressed, fires up more turbo tsu tsu"
Favorite car vid in awhile especially after seeing the fire to the knocking, happy for you man sounds amazing cant wait to see you drive it.
i wanna see more of Kahn!!! Maybe, build a future 350z drift build with him ;)
Great work, it’s super smooth and definitely worth the late finish mate.
Turbo spool sounds amazing!
Can’t wait to see the blue rocket bunny s15 build
The v band in front of the turbo looked like it rotated a bit after you revd it not sire its supposed to do that just noticed that hyped on this!

00:22:22 Can anybody explain if the tap water would suitable for the cooling system? Sam, do you have any filtration on tap water to fill any coolant from the wall tap? We use distilled water anytime for smaller amounts too.
Few years ago i did my dad's racing exhaust on his range rover classic 3.5 Efi v8 that thing took me till 2 or 3 in the morning to do

You SIR are a legend.
You should make a mold of your trans shaft, then fill the mold with a fuck ton of jb weld.
Just pretend that Tomei oil adapter is Zinc or get it anodized black 👍
Installed a 12 plate tranny cooler in my g35 and it went well ... the mishimoto radiator comes in a week hopefully goes just as well
Don't forget the shifter know RATTLE!
Sam, could you please tell how you achieved that finish on the SR’s valve cover? Beautiful. It looks like a candy color over a bare aluminum w/ designs sanded into it. But wanted to ask nonetheless. Thanks in advance
