Thanks Nick for the past three and a half years, bringing us all these superb videos of the stadium, majestically rising above the royal blue Mersey. Can’t believe it’s finally finished, well the construction of the stadium anyway, as there’s still plenty of internal work to do. Who honestly thought over three years ago this day would finally arrive? Many must have thought something would go badly wrong and the building would come to a grinding halt. You can now take a deserved break and then return in the new year as there will be plenty more activity to capture, with all kinds of furniture, fixtures and fittings etc being delivered. Plus the engine house getting its final fit out. Finally, a special mention for Michael Jones, the blue who tragically lost his life whilst working on the building. It would have been an absolute travesty if the building had come to a halt, meaning he had lost his life for nothing. His family can be so proud of him, knowing he played his part in the building of this magnificent stadium.

What I love in these comments is the lack of negativity that tends to happen with new stadiums - oh, the money should have been spent on the team, it'll never be as good as the place we now play in, that sort of thing. Not an Everton fan, but what a thrill that first game will be in your new home!

Your charm, wit and eternal positivity whilst presenting your videos of this build over the last 3.5 years has been a great source of solace in truly dreadful times for EFC. You have been absolutely committed to trying to provide wall-to-wall coverage of this project from end-to-end. Thank you so much for that. I look forward to your coverage of the customisation phase and maybe even getting to stand in front of my memorial stone in the spring. For me, the summary of how bad things had become wasn't just the negativity, the points deductions, the huge financial constraints, the haemorrhaging of the soul or the dire standard of play for a club with a motto of "Nihil Satis, Nisi Optimum" but how many comments expressed by neutral football fans ranged from mild disiniterest or sympathy to more extreme views: that EFC was no longer their secret second-club and that EFC deserved to go down; that EFC were cheating or that offered nothing to anyone. It will take a long, long time to re-earn the respect of neutrals, never mind the financial titans. However, in several ways, right now is a watershed, with the TFG (Roundhouse Capital Holdings) starting their tenure and this extraordinary new home being handed over. I really hope that all press articles now show the pictures as seen here, rather than old part-built ones, so that the PR of the club is enhanced. No more issues of whether it will be completed but what it will finally look like when first used in anger. Now, we can start to be a club again, together as one, with genuine hope, so long as SD and the squad can steer their way through the remainder of the season, perhaps with a little quiet strengthening in January. How astonishing it is to see the plazas and concourses so clean and bare, bereft of contractors, equipment and materials. LoR have done a cracking job and should be applauded. They will surely be justifiably using photos of this build for a long, long time in their marketing. On to the EFC Customisation. May Michael Jones' family feel that his life was validated by his part in bringing a bright new future to EFC. Awesome as always Nick. Looks like someone has been round with a broom! I think my favourite view is of the west side of the stadium. I just love the view across the dock and the steps. Mind you, that's only just ahead of the view of the eastern side of the stadium. What a ground .... can't wait for my first visit there.

I really have to say the site now looks fantastic, building a stadium which is keeping of local architecture and yet retaining some of the history of the area makes this stadium iconic, watching this video with no workers onsite its eerie, but its the calm before the flurry of activity, prior to the move from Goodison Park to this amazing and absolutely stadium, also the pitch is coming on in leaps and bounds. I think both players and supporters will be totally gobsmacked when they get in pitchside, the atmosphere will be electric. Awesome Nick, Merry Christmas and thank you so much for all your videos. So happy to have been with you from the start and I don't think I've missed any. It's lovely to see the site so clean and tidy with almost all equipment removed - with the notable exception of the scaffolding on the roof of the NE corner. The really obvious omissions now are any exterior Everton branding or insignia. I expect they have been left purposefully to the club and perhaps that's why the scaffolding is still there. I'm guessing that they will need planning consent and that may not yet be in place, so the city council planning portal may be worth keeping an eye on! Then there's the stadium naming rights and I'm sure our new owners will have a keen interest in that. We should remember that the dock was named after a particularly awful slave trader, and move on with a new unstained name. 21st century lighting can do amazing things and I have high hopes that we'll be able to put on a much better light show than Wembley Stadium! It's been a well of despair on the pitch and I think the single biggest mistake Moshiri made was appointing Ancelotti when it could have been our much loved Mikel Arteta. I am so gutted that hit talent is now benefiting Arsenal and we're very unlikely to see him again. Still disappointed that the previous management failed to get King's Dock over the line, akin to losing after being several goals up, but for all the chaos, Moshiri's legacy is to have delivered this wonderful stadium. That's going to be my lasting memory of him. I believe we've got excellent new owners, and I think that's basically luck. Moshiri would have sold us to 777 if he could have and it would have been a disaster. A bright blue horizon beckons. Good luck getting a season ticket. I've failed to get any match tickets since becoming well enough to attend matches and have sometimes resorted to sitting with the home fans at our away fixtures (and being appropriately quiet) just to see our team. I'm hoping that there will be enough ticket availability next season to enable me to re-establish my track record and may become able to get a season ticket in future. I've gone through one hell of a lot more than just the pandemic and I'm also trying to regain motivation and achieve my rehabilitation by fundraising for the amazing mental health charity Growing Well. www.justgiving.com/page/nikita-parks-growing-well

Hi Nick thanks for all the videos you've posted over the last few years. I've been a subscriber since you uploaded your first Bramley Moore video and the coverage has been great. Really sorry to hear you're not able to get hold of a season ticket - surely Everton should be able to make an exception for someone who's generated such positive interest in the new Stadium. Hopefully they'll come to their senses. Anyway, what would be really useful is if you'd be able to do a close up of the stadium seating - for me the East Stand although others might have other preferences. The reason is that although the club say there are no obstructed views there appear to be seats which are obstructed by glass barriers (which I've seen at other stadiums and although you ca see through them it's a pain / pane if you're sitting behind one). There are also some seats, mainly between premium and non-premium which have dividers between them which look like they're higher than you could see over if in close proximity. It would be a real help to see on more detail for those making a decision on where to choose their new season ticket locations. The digital viewing on the Everton website doesn't make it too clear imo. Thanks again Nick. Regards - John

It looks like the ground level is complete and has been cleaned up and is now fully ready. Of course, there's still a ton of crap at the top and just below the roof. I would not be surprised if the first match played here is before the end of this season in May.

Awesome Nick, Merry Christmas and thank you so much for all your videos. So happy to have been with you from the start and I don't think I've missed any. It's lovely to see the site so clean and tidy with almost all equipment removed - with the notable exception of the scaffolding on the roof of the NE corner.
The really obvious omissions now are any exterior Everton branding or insignia. I expect they have been left purposefully to the club and perhaps that's why the scaffolding is still there. I'm guessing that they will need planning consent and that may not yet be in place, so the city council planning portal may be worth keeping an eye on! Then there's the stadium naming rights and I'm sure our new owners will have a keen interest in that. We should remember that the dock was named after a particularly awful slave trader, and move on with a new unstained name. 21st century lighting can do amazing things and I have high hopes that we'll be able to put on a much better light show than Wembley Stadium!
It's been a well of despair on the pitch and I think the single biggest mistake Moshiri made was appointing Ancelotti when it could have been our much loved Mikel Arteta. I am so gutted that hit talent is now benefiting Arsenal and we're very unlikely to see him again. Still disappointed that the previous management failed to get King's Dock over the line, akin to losing after being several goals up, but for all the chaos, Moshiri's legacy is to have delivered this wonderful stadium. That's going to be my lasting memory of him. I believe we've got excellent new owners, and I think that's basically luck. Moshiri would have sold us to 777 if he could have and it would have been a disaster. A bright blue horizon beckons.
Good luck getting a season ticket. I've failed to get any match tickets since becoming well enough to attend matches and have sometimes resorted to sitting with the home fans at our away fixtures (and being appropriately quiet) just to see our team. I'm hoping that there will be enough ticket availability next season to enable me to re-establish my track record and may become able to get a season ticket in future. I've gone through one hell of a lot more than just the pandemic and I'm also trying to regain motivation and achieve my rehabilitation by fundraising for the amazing mental health charity Growing Well. www.justgiving.com/page/nikita-parks-growing-well

Hi Nick thanks for all the videos you've posted over the last few years. I've been a subscriber since you uploaded your first Bramley Moore video and the coverage has been great. Really sorry to hear you're not able to get hold of a season ticket - surely Everton should be able to make an exception for someone who's generated such positive interest in the new Stadium. Hopefully they'll come to their senses. Anyway, what would be really useful is if you'd be able to do a close up of the stadium seating - for me the East Stand although others might have other preferences. The reason is that although the club say there are no obstructed views there appear to be seats which are obstructed by glass barriers (which I've seen at other stadiums and although you ca see through them it's a pain / pane if you're sitting behind one). There are also some seats, mainly between premium and non-premium which have dividers between them which look like they're higher than you could see over if in close proximity. It would be a real help to see on more detail for those making a decision on where to choose their new season ticket locations. The digital viewing on the Everton website doesn't make it too clear imo. Thanks again Nick. Regards - John

It looks like the ground level is complete and has been cleaned up and is now fully ready. Of course, there's still a ton of crap at the top and just below the roof. I would not be surprised if the first match played here is before the end of this season in May.
