- O'Donnell is a West Texas city that lies primarily in Lynn County, with a small portion extending south into Dawson County, Texas.[4] Its population was 831 at the 2010 census,[5] down from 1,011 at the 2000 census. The Lynn county portion of O'Donnell is part of the Lubbock Metropolitan area.
My mother was born and raise in O'Donnell. I went to the same school that she did in my 1st & 7th grade. I loved spending the summers on my grandparents farm. It is hard breaking to see this little town that use to be so full of life to come to this. The last time I was in O'Donnell was for my Aunt's Wanda Lawhon (the last of my mom siblings) funeral, March 18, 2015.
Not sure if you caught it...but, Dan Blocker's parents owned a grocery store. It appeared on the right side of street, when you turned onto the main drag. I think there was a monument of some sort placed behind the store, of Dan.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing!
Must be a nice ride in O'Donnell TX
There is a book about the founder. He was hanged. The Execution, Life and Times of Patrick O’Donnell. He was a Confederate Soldier.
