I've flown on AP-BAT numerous times between London and Islamabad in the 90s. It was one of the two Combis. My last flight on it was from Dubai to London in 1996, when it operated on OPKC-OMDB-EGLL route, flown by Capt. Juswal. I miss the golden days. Flying on the classic B742 had a unique aura about it. I vividly remember BAT being initially dubbed as "City of Islamabad" and then "Quetta" after a few years. If memory serves me right, the combi twins (Alpha Tango and Alpha Kilo) were the last of PIA's eight B747-200. Thank you for this video. God bless you.
As of interest ; I loaded cargo on the last PIA B743 AP-BGG in 2011 at LHR. I have now heard with great pain and distress through a PIA engineer that this lovely classic aircraft has been scrapped due to severe demege by enemies of Islam.
PIA pilots were prone to hold the 747 at v2 enroute climb over populated areas. I remember this as a child living on outskirts of Heathrow (Southall) and this incredible humming noise which used come out of the engines and whenever looked outof my family home belief itor not it was PIA 747 on a enroute climb. This I saw right regular between 1983 to 1989 and it carried into the early 90's. The aircraft operated in those days was AP-AYW AP-AYV. AP-BAT and AP-BAK. At night it looked even more dramatic a gift. From Allah (swt).
I remeber PIA flying KHI-IST-AMS-LHR route as well as many others which included AMS there were schedueld flights which terminated at AMS also i think Alhamdulilah

Great 👍
At that time..this camera was a Super Expensive Big one..:d
Cause of demage to AP-BGG ; enemies of Islam fired bullets on the aircraft skin causing it to be written off.
