What a blessing his voice was to me then, when I was looking for him on TH-cam, to listen to him, read the Bible, Poirot came up.🎉😊❤ he is my go to show at night when I am laying in my lonely little bed has compassion, intellect and sophistication make me feel like there’s hope in this world. Keep up the good work and I’m so grateful I got to see you receive this award as I feel like you truly deserve it. God bless you all.

While I respect and admire both men, were the privilege mine I would entitle this video "The Prince Meets David Suchet". In that wording, my intention is to allow the Prince the humbling pleasure of meeting the great David Suchet. Wonderfully talented men, both.
I rewatched Sad Cypress only yesterday and despite being nearly 20 years old the episodes are timeless. I believe it is one of the best series ITV made, Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes was another, because other adaptations usually suffer from the BBC getting there first and doing a better job such as Miss Marple with the great Joan Hickson which I am currently rewatching. There had been many BBC radio Poirot, notably John Moffatt but they had never made a long running Poirot TV series so ITV were able to produce a series I don’t think will ever be matched.
I would love to see the last scene of the last of those five stories ended with David Suchet turning to the camera and saying "And that's all she wrote!"
At last! This knighthood is so long overdue. We've been waiting years for him to get it. What a superb actor. I relished watching him in Playing Shakespeare with John Barton. Many congratulations and so well deserved!
i was so surprised when he spoke, i've only seen him in poirot so it was surprising to me that he has an english accent and not the french belgian accent i'm used to hearing from him
Actually, in the series, his accent is just French not French Belgian (although I know he's supposed to be Belgian). The French Belgian accent sounds very different and very characteristic for whoever speaks French.
I will be grateful to Agatha Christie for invented Poirot, because I knew now David Suchet , the number 1 of all Poirot s interpreted . Here in Italy every saturday evening we can see Poirot in TV. I love this caracter and my two little daughters (7 and 8 years old ) are becaming his devoting fans. When they see Poirot for the first time they say : look that sir with the moustache. And every time I see and resee Poirot they want to see him with me. Thankyou Agatha Christie, thankyou David Suchet. ( Excuse my english ).All the best for you David, you are a great artist.
I must say he's quite handsome. As Poirot he's cute, but he's quite handsome as himself. He deserves this honor. No one can portray Poirot with as much precision and excellence.
He is an embodiment of nailing his one character just so perfectly that nobody cannot get to the same level as he is presenting that same character. Similar to Hitler character from Bruno Ganz even tough Ganz made also other roles.
