    If you are into your putting a bunch of aftermarket stuff like that on you need to invest in a Dremel. Take your time next time and grind down the parts to fit perfect. I have all the same parts on my summit. Oh yea, and you might want to keep the original spring from the plastic servo saver because the black spring it comes with is way too tight. Just plan on getting metal gear servos too.

      Thanks for tips! I do own a dremel now though…wish I had one back then

    Yeah what you put on is a solid upgrade. That no name China stuff 50/50 chance is going to work or not. I've had the same problem.

  • @drog343

    The Teknos don't run the pivot ball setups, as far as I know they're all caster blocks and knuckles, with the toe and camber links, I believe. Sorry, about the steering components, though you might have been able to just swap the stock plastic ends onto those new links to get everything to fit right.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The plastic ends were one of the things I was hoping to ditch though….stuff doesn’t always pan out lol 😂

  • @SebastianLong

    Those Chinese links more than likely won't last long. I've had then on my UDR and tried a set on my nitro Revo. The little washer holding the pivot ball pops out and then the pivot ball comes free and flops about.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t put them on. The fitment was bad

    Do you still recommend these oversize aluminium steering Knuckles from the video over the rpm ones? Do you recommend combine these aluminium steering knuckles with the rpm wishbones? Or should I get rpm steering knuckles and wishbones? rpm ones are still plastik.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I’ve had no issues with the Aluminum Knuckles in combination with the RPM arms…..I recommend it

  • @chippytits3803
    @chippytits3803 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I bought some aluminum knuckles and the boot would slide out from under the plastic clip when it was installed do these hold the rubber tight like the stock knuckles they actually sealed them from water

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You still have to retain the stock clips which unfortunately don’t hold the rubber boot on very well

    • @chippytits3803
      @chippytits3803 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RCKnockout do you use the boots still even though they fall off and does water and mud getting in ruin the pivot balls or make them grind?

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chippytits3803 I still use them but yeah water and grit can get in there….I wash the pivots balls out with water pretty regularly though

    Have you thought about putting in a TSM receiver to help with steering?

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the receiver in there might be a Tsm one….I’m not really sure….

    Hi, What are the best batteries for Traxxas Summit? Which one do you recommend?

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure what the best are but I run some cheap 2s Hoovo Lipo packs that I bought off Amazon

    Good video, 👍
    I actually purchased the same H.R Aluminum (Blue) Steering bell crank, I can confirm it does fit
    with Genuine Aftermarket Traxxas Aluminum Tie Rods perfectly for my Summit.
    - Traxxas Black Aluminum Steering Links - #5338A x 2 (Front & Rear)
    -Traxxas Red Aluminum Steering Links #5318X x 2 (Front & Rear)
    Hope that helps 😊✌
