You can buy a midi keyboard, or just a keyboard and have a simulated sound of a piano ;D. At least you'll get to practice till you get the space and you don't have to spend a few grand either.
Buy a keyboard. Start there, although it´s from second hand market. But start if you really like it

Hadhrat Abu Maalik Ash'ari (radhiyallahu anhu) says that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) say: "Most certainly, there will be in my Ummah people who will make lawful fornication, silk, liquor and musical instruments." (Bukhaari)

You can still learn to play the piano. I only started to learn the piano when I was 24 years straight after my military service. One of my seniors used to play the classic guitar. He was so good and I was deeply touched. He used to say that adults cannot learn musiccal instruments. I chose not to listen to his advice. I am not brilliant with the piano but now I can play a few tunes from Amilie and many other tunes.

I remembered hearing this piece somewhere a long time ago, but I didn't remembered where.
Just a couple years ago I heard it like phone on-hold music in my electrical company, then I commented it to my child... and he refered the film Amélie (2001) to me; wich I have never seen (neither he).
Finally I just rewatch the German film Good Bye Lenin (2003), and there it was the piece. Turns out the music for both films was done by Yann Tiersen.
Practised this songs for 2 hours a day 3 weeks long, can play it with my eyes closed now! It is such a beautifull song, when I play I don't think of any problems or stress, just music, it tells a story

Every night, very late, way over the time you shouldn’t make noise, my senior neighbor used to play this music on his own piano. I’ve never heard anyone complain about him.
He lived alone, but he was healthy and had enough money to do what he wanted. He was never mean to anyone. Our entire block visited him at least once a week. We would bake him pies, buy him tea, go to hospitals with him. He loved talking about music and literature. He never liked movies or series, but, of course, Amelie was his favorite media.
A month ago he passed away. Calmly, in his bed, in evening. We discovered about it that day, when no one heard him play. Loved everyone, loved by everyone.

My friend has a brain tumour(cancer) this song has a direct connection to her in my head. I try not to cry when I hear it. Shes moving to a different school next year. I am going to miss her. I listen to this when I miss her. (she's not dead btw )

С сентября 2019 учусь играть) на старом пианино Элегия:)))) отдали бесплатно:) я его уже и разобрала сама, и собрала обратно, починила три клавиши!
Благодаря именно этому каналу, я увидела, что может выучить новичок, и меня это реально смотивировало:))) спасибки тебе, чувак! Не знаю, как ты вообще выучил некоторые первые песни типа I'm blue и rhcp, они сложные капец на мой взгляд! Твое упорство достойно похвалы!
У меня вот это третье произведение, которое я пытаюсь играть:))))
2 недели по часу в день я училась играть часть для левой руки, тк, мизинчик даже не доставал до нужной клавиши, чтобы взять октаву, растянула в общем я левую свою наконец-то, и вот только 3 дня назад подключила правую руку:D
дошла до сложной быстрой партии для правой руки и вообще охреневаю, получится, интересно, или нет :D но я задрот, поэтому всё равно получится ахаха
А для себя поняла, что для того, чтобы научиться играть мелодии, нужно каждый день настойчиво повторять выученное, и постепенно добавлять новые кусочки:)) каждый день играю, радости полные штаны!
Когда начинает получаться, мне это напоминает игру в приставку, когда ты проходишь один и тот же уровень и нажимаешь на джойстике именно то, что нужно) то бишь играешь на автомате!
Пианино эт кайф, мне оно соц сети и игры заменяет вечерами:D

a boy at my art school once played it and ever since then i wanted to learn how to play it. but my teacher didn't want to study that with me so years later, after i graduated, i learned how to play it myself and the memories still hit from time to time haha. first piece i learned how to play on my own

I started playing piano when I was 5 and my parents and teachers told me I was very talented. I would never study what my teacher put me as homework and I would always do whatever I liked. When I was 1 year ago I started practicing Amelie and it came out pretty well!! Your neighbors must love you so much!!

I heard this this song for the first time last night. It has such a deep emotional sound to it. I fell in instant love with this piece.

This piece is ALL over TH-cam, but let me say that this might be the BEST one I've heard. Most people don't seem to understand that the emotion from this song does not come from arbitrary puases and accents, but from the RYTHM and the melody itself. So, many people try to add emotion by playing this in a style it's not supposed to be played, and a surprising number of skilled pianists mess up the arpeggio parts by botching the rythm. Not you though, you play it perfectly.

I didn't dislike but I'm tired of that song. Every piano player do it. In my country we have pianos in train stations, spend 1 hour there every day and you're almost sure to hear it every single time.
