He how’s because that’s what Asias do when they meet you. It’s called having classical training since the age of 5. He was 22 years of age. He is performing in a Chinese competition with the top Chinese professionals. Someone saw him on another competition show that he won and decided to invite him to take part in “I am Singer.” Competition. They thought he would only last 2 episodes but the audience loved him and the also did know about his repertoire of music that he sang. He stayed in the competition for all 4 months and ended up in second place. He was the youngest competitor and the first one that was not Chinese. They invited him back the next year as a judge and he also performed. The Chinese people just loves Dimash. He stayed in China for about 3 years. Now 2 years later is is in China again, performing. One of the languages he sings in is Chinese. He speaks Kazakh of course and Russian. He is also learning to speak English. His English is so much better now but he still has the accent. You’ve been Dimashified! 😁

DIMASH kudaibergen is the best singer in the world
Dimash for sure put on a show. He worked so hard each episode to stay in the show and if he didn't get the audience on their feet his chances dwindled. He was up against established professional singers too. The artists had to do their own arrangements, had two weeks to learn the language if they didn't know it. What many people don't realise is that the audience in The Singer are not 'just walk in off the street and cheer' audience. 500-strong musically proficient in some way - either as musicians, vocal coaches, producers, performance artists, singers, music writers, composers etc., so the artists were being judged by their peers. And each other. Every facet of the songs they sang were judged from their arrangements, performance, vocals. Not to mention 600 million viewers countrywide that saw the first episode where he sang S.O.S. He threw every bit of himself into his performances and even got sick and lost his voice for one of the episodes, but pushed through it beautifully. The number of times I've watched this and it still makes me tear.
That sounds like an amazing premise for a show! I had assumed is was like America's got talent at first, but people have been filling me in on the details. He got runner up right? Who the hell beat him?!
@@PrymalChaos He knew he couldn't win, rules were that no foreigner could take 1st place, he was invited as a wild card and went for the exposure, 600,000000 people in China tuned in, watched Dimash -rest is history ...rules were changed following year and Jesse J won 2018 ...and Dimash invited again as a guest performer, he sang Hello ...

At the time of this song, Dimash said he could only say hello, my name is Dimash. He’s doing much better now.
This was the first song Dimash sang in English and had only one week to learn it. Dimash was outstanding in this show, and it's a great way to follow his progression from his first performance until now. Even today, Dimash still does vocal training for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. From this show, I especially liked All By Myself, Adagio, and Unforgettable Day. Dimash wrote the latter when he was 18 yrs. old.
That is a fantastic song and performance!
This is only 1 percent of what he can do. You can’t pigeon hole Dimash into any genre of music. He can sing anything. His English has much improved since 2017 and he sings in 13 languages. His also a multi instrumentalist and a composer. I’d love you to delve into more Dimash performances. I promise you won’t be disappointed. ♥️🇬🇧

Hello from Nebraska, USA. I am a 70 year old Dear. Just a bit of trivia. The knee drop that Dimash does in so many performances. Dimash is over 6ft. 3inches tall. Imagine dropping down onto your knees repeatedly from his height. Again, just a bit of trivia. Just remember that this is Dimash’s 2nd song sung during the Singer competition in 2017 at age 22. His English wasn’t too good because of his accent but Dimash knows what he’s singing. So if you start in 2017, this is where he came to fame. He is 90% better now at age 27. People who only speak English can’t speak it properly. Dimash has been professionally trained since age 5 and I have seen videos of him training. It wasn’t easy but it’s something Dimash loves to do. So, check out when he first started in 2017 and then his many solo concerts around the world since the competition ended at the end of 2017. He is the best talented and humble singer in this entire world. I am 64 and have watched so, so, much of Dimash. He’s working on his Doctorate degree now. He will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dimash is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition and it is about to start his doctorate in Musicology. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4.

Dimash was invited to the Chinese competition as a foreigner - Dark Horse. Nobody in China knew about him before. Officially, Dimash was awarded second place, because the competition is Chinese and the winner must be a Chinese. But this does not diminish the merits of Dimash, and for us, dears, he is a winner.
Oh you've only scratched the surface of what Dimash is capable of doing. I suggest you listen to his works in chronological order and see just how much he improves as he goes. It's truly amazing as is Dimash. When you get to his most recent works, you will hear a maturity and richness in his voice that is wonderful. Enjoy!

I'm a Queen fan since forever and I know Freddie would have been amazed! If you want to see his more extended vocal range, try "Stranger". And, hey, we shouldn't be offended by music. Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art

Who is Dimash Qudaibergen?
Dimash's birthday is on May 24. Height: 1.91m; 6'3 '. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’, having achieved a perfect pitch. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin (dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him). So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, has a perfect pitch.
He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.
His current range is almost C1 - D8 (out of piano)! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.
Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, feed your soul or push you off your chair. Tissues are always recommended, metalheads too! Be careful when Dimash takes out the left headphone ...! Dimash began his classical vocal training at age 5 and continued until after he turned 25. He was 22 in this performance. Before heading to China, he was chosen by the Kazakhstan Govt. to be their official ambassador to China.
He has also trained in contemporary vocals.
He has an Under Grad and a Masters, (in music compositon) He is currently working on his Doctorate.
So he is highly talented, incredably intelligent and is also an athlete, male model and the list goes on.
He has now expanded his range to 7 octaves plus 2 notes. Well, that was this past summer so since he is always actively training to expand his range, he may be past the 2 notes now.
He will begin his DQ show in Dubai, at the Coca Cola Center March 24th.
Dimash, like many Kazaks, is Eurasian and is 6'3"+ tall. You may have noticed his height next to the fabulous guitarist who played for him in this video. You may hear him sing opera, Michael Jackson songs, French contemporary opera, Kazak folk songs, many compositions of the Maestro Igor Krutoy and the list goes on.
Both of his parents are singer's and his mother was also classically trained.
His father, Kanat, is in this audience in this performance and they show him a couple of times.

They say Dimash has vocally matured since then. But records from that competition are my favourite ones. It’s such a fantastic feeling to watch how sincerely Dimash was surprised at how surprised that great big audience was. Pure love and light.
I too love his Singer 2017 performances, and listen to them regularly (though mostly through reaction videos), but his voice has definitely matured since then. Not that it wasn’t amazing before, but I can detect added strength and stability now, especially in his riffs and runs. On a side note, it annoys me when reactors don’t show his performances through to the end because the reactions from the other performers are usually priceless.
@@debbienockels3796 plus all the little moments that get missed, one reactor just cut off the whole ending of Opera 2 where Dimash's dad was hidden in the audience. He's actually gone back and just reacted to that bit and he was so glad he did because of how much it revealed to him about the kind of person Dimash really is.

You're right. There are 'MetalHeads' - & followers of EVERY other genre - all over the world now 'reacting' to Dimash with shock & awe. They no longer apologise to their viewers for going off genre - they just say;"Hey YOU GOTTA SEE / HEAR THIS!"
Dimash continues to improve his artistry - hard to believe but true! He has been working on further developing his lower register also - which has been quite a shock to his many regular followers - see his recent performance of 'Stranger'. But if you want to track his development - better to start with the 2017 Chinese SINGER performances & work forward. For massive contrasts see his official original versions of 'Sinful Passion' & 'Olympico' . Dimashs style has been described as Classical Cross-over - but he does traditional Opera - Jazz - Pop - Musical Theatre - Rap... Anything he likes really. Just because he can.
As for other experienced singers trying to do what he does... Dimash has had formal classical voice training since the age of 5, so that's 22+ Years now of professional vocal & performance training. { More - since he was up on stage with his parents from toddlerhood. Both mum & dad are much loved Kazakh singers } Dimash practices / exercises his 'instrument' a minimum of 3 hrs /day - yes daily - & people close to him say it's much more than that - as he hums & sings & creates music constantly; day & night. If that weren't dedication enough... Dimash also swims a lot - daily where possible - and allegedly now has something like the lung capacity of those old school deep sea pearl divers - who run along the ocean floor for up to 6 minutes at a time on one breath! I jest not.

FYI this show was a competition for seasoned, popular Chinese professional singers with their own fan bases. Stiff competition. Dimash was the first foreigner ever to perform on this show, was invited as a wildcard to add interest to the show and wasn’t expected to last more than two episodes. As the least known singer he was first up to perform in the first episode in 2017. He gave an incredible performance of SOS, won that episode against all the odds and the rest is history - an overnight sensation in China and the beginning of a global fan base.🙏🏻🇦🇺

He has whistle notes in 3 octaves (6,7, and 8), he sings in the 2nd and vocal fry in the 1st. Oh yeah in stranger he belts in F#5 for 19 seconds without falter . He was 22 in China.Has now sung in 15 languages .

He had only one week to learn the English for this song. At the time he only knew hello my name is Dimash. He did the musical arrangement with his friend Erlan to make it his “own”. Freddy had a 5 octave range but Dimash has over 7 now. He is the most versatile performer ever, from rock and rap to classic crossover and opera. He even performed with the Kazakh Rappers when he was about 18 and sang rap and opera in the one song and made it sound awesome. Only Dimash can do that. He has Kazakh rap in Be With Me and some versions of “Screaming” He sings full on opera with other opera singers as well. I strongly dislike opera but a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing just to work with him, wrote an opera piece called Ogni Pietra ((or Olímpico) just for him. It is more “popera” as Dimash performs it as only Dimash can, and the music (if you listen to his concert version Arnau concert 20/6/2019 that says Dimash and Igor Krutoy) the music (the drums are awesome) and Dimash’s theatrical delivery make it absolutely epic and stunning.

I love how Dimash upstaged the lead guitarist during his solo by going higher than him! This is early Dimash, not as polished as he is now, but I love many of the episodes from this show I Am Singer 2017, he is so young and incredibly courageous to go to the foreign world of China.. But it was a genius move because after he opened the show with SOS, episode 1, he became an overnight star in Chinese countries, and they adore him to this day, he is actually working there now. All his Chinese numbers are extraordinary! Dimash dimashifies every song he performs. He never copies. this recording was made in 2017, when Dimash could hardly speak English. Now he has a lot of songs written especially for him. And his English has improved a lot now.
Found Dimash in 2017, must hear him every single day, multiple times a day. Ikanaide by Dimash where he sang in Japanese for the first time is out of this world beautiful. Just Dimash in a studio singing his heart out.

Excellent reaction. Congratulations. For me Dimash is the greatest vocalist and interpreter of this century to say the least. He sings all styles, he is a freak and genius. With his voice he gives meaning to each word he sings and with his expressions and body movements he transmits all the feeling of each song he interprets.
