The character development from Season 1 to now is pretty incredible, especially for Skye/Daisy, Fitz, and Simmons. I also feel like this is the season that SHIELD really solidified its identity. It's still going to evolve, as it does every season, but this is where things start getting REALLY wild!

*_Welcome to level 3, Agent Shelley: Inhuman plague, Shady Government Agencies, Big Blue Monsters & Ladies Lingerie! Mind the step!... Season 3 is truly when the show hit it’s stride and fully embraced the superpowered aspect of the MARVEL universe; I’m a lover of all the seasons but with the first season having to establish so many characters and concepts, and season two focussing on Skye’s backstory and transition to inhuman, I have to admit that this was the first season when the show felt free to fully explore its own stories and was comfortably established enough to no longer handhold the audience. And, fun fact, season three was the first season (but not the last!) of AoS to get a 100% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes! (Seasons 5 & 7 also got 100% and seasons 2, 4 & 6 were all in the 90s -91%, 96% & 93% respectively to be precise- and AoS was the highest rated MARVEL tv series, even higher than the Netflix shows, until Ms. Marvel came around on Disney+)_*
I get how season 4 missed perfection(I know it’s a lot of peoples favorite), but I’m happy season 5 got it’s 100% rating because it’s my personal favorite. Oh well I’m just happy to be at season 3, Excelsior marvel fans.
Oh that is just the first half of the season. The second half has one of the most heartbreaking episodes in the series. Loss, betrayal, physical and emotional trauma.
Me: I'm not calling her Daisy! Also Me: But Cal, okay I call her Daisy. I'm pretty sure Daisy stuck by episode two. Enter 00 Fitz! Such an amazing season premier!!
Now we enter what I call the Season that broke all of hearts. You're gonna need some tissues during the second half, because after this season, nothing will be the same again.
Fitz is not letting anyone get in his way this time. You really start noticing how much of a threat he can be when he needs to. Everything is just so bleak at the start of this season. Crew missing or Kia. Powered people popping up all over the place. Ward appears to have gotten away with it all at this point. Going to need some serious teamwork and a few miracles to fix all that. I'm sure you'll love this season too.
I know desperate Fitz is making some seriously irrational, risky decisions…but why in the world do I find it so freaking attractive? 😅 Iain de Caestrecker is like a Pokémon in this series, he just gets hotter and more confident over time (imo) 😏
Do you think Cal should have to live in a prison with the knowledge that he had to murder his wife in order to stop her from murdering their daughter? I think that most of all is what Cal deserves to be free from with the TAHITI program and a new life. EVERYTHING had been taken from him, but now he gets to give back like he used to when he was happy, and a good man.
