Trains at Reading, GWML - 9/8/17

- In this video I visited Reading station on the Great Western Main Line for an early morning session. Services are seen here by Great Western Railway, Cross Country and South West Trains.
A very interesting visit, Reading had it all from the usual Turbos, Voyagers, HST's and 450's to the more limited sights of the 180's and 458's. The early morning got off to a very slow start but as the day progressed, so did the frequency of trains. I was really impressed with everything here and look forward to returning here to continue further with the morning timetable.

The First Penzance service from Reading is in fact the 0933 out of Exeter, 1039 out of Plymouth and arriving at 1237 in Penzance, which in turn I went on that run twice but different HSTs, Great video by the way :)

Great video 😎👍🏽 I was there later that day with work.....had 43088 and 171 from Bridgend to Reading 😎 saw the Virgin Azuma on test...not really impressed by the 800 😥

Weather was awful that day 😦☔️ the interiors of the 800 look drab and grey - just like being in a sterile office or a doctors waiting room 😥 no splash of colour to welcome you aboard and those seats look uncomfortable for anyone taking a long journey 😕 now the DFT have decided not to finish electrification to Swansea and Bath/Bristol TM there was no point going to the expense of electrification and building these awful, yet VERY expensive class 800/802 trains in the first place - would have been cheaper and easier to revamp and refurbish the existing HST's to meet 2020 standards 🤔 a Government f&@k up from start to finish 🙄

SWT are moving 458s to Reading while the new 707s go to Windsor. So, that's why there are 458s there

458s at Reading? Finally! That makes more sense tbh. 800005 triggered me 😠😠😠 it don't matter what they sound like, 100mph only on Diesel mode is stupid! Seriously it's 2017 we can do better than this!!
