I really liked basharat sahabs sincerity. He gave the same money Kim's father gave for Daud to buy things for Kim. What a beautiful, selfless gesture.

After a long time I am loving a male character in Pakistani drama. I love how Dawoud is patient with Kim and with his character he is trying to inspire Kim and teach her what things she needs to learn and change about herself. I hope his character remains the same throughout the drama. Super acting by Bilal Ashraf. All credits to him.

Kim doesn't need to change, dawood need to change, he should speak up for the woman in his house..the way his dad n grand father treats the woman in the house. Women are not puppet or servant...the tone his father talked to mother..go n make tea..she doesn't have any say...what are u saying..she is a mother not a robot or wooden toy .suraiya being not able to express anything or share her feelings to anyone is a big question to their parenting.dawood is trying to change kim but kim is speaking out facts, yes, Kim needs to learn a lot as she is not aware of things but that's least important.. firstly mentality of the men is the house should be changed.. their hypocrisy should be changed first..kim is badtameez but she talks facts.

The sister has no encouragement from any family member to be financially independent. Our only aspiration in life is to get married a s a p. The grandfather and the father are both still living in the 7th century . They do not consider their wives to be any better than the slippers on their feet.. If this is really relatable to the citizens of this country, Then I really feel bad for the women.

Nobody in the family has ever sat down with the sister and asked her what she wanted to do with her life. They all have assumed that she is going to get married of course to the guy of their choice.
Even the American return father of the bride has left her completely at the mercy of her in-laws and her husband and actually stolen her stuff, even her identity papers. He left her stranded in a strange country where she's visiting for the first time.
The brother tells the sister that she needs his "permission" to even take his wife out anywhere.

I like Dawood's character in the show; in fact, he is my favorite. I like how he gradually and politely makes Kim feel at ease and tries to explain things to her in a manner that she understands. Thank God that he didn't take his dada's advice and is trying to build a relationship in his own way.
I wasn't expecting that he was a romantic at heart, but I can see how he is gently but surely gaining Kim's trust and getting close to her.

Girls are made to stay at home after education n get married.. Surya doesn't have anyone to share her feelings even to her mom, is a big question to their parenting...so some critics( u all must know) find kim annoying, n see kim insult Pakistan but they fail to see what she is trying to say..she us trying to expose the hypocrisy of men( specially india and Pakistan) in name of culture, status and pride. ye drama itna soothing hai, characters are so subtle. Ager har mard Dawood jaisa hojaye tu kabhi koi aurat mardon se nahi darey gi, aur jo childhood trauma is episode main highlght hoa hai main us se bohat relate karti hun bohat mushkil se recovery hoti hai mentally, is topic per koi baat hi nahi hoti, I was molested in my childhood and most of my friends were too.
This was so tough to read. Hope you’re ok. And you’re right this is definitely a topic that we should talk about especially in eastern societies. The more this topic is considered taboo the easier it is for abusers to prey on little kids.
I relate with this thing too, it's heart wrenching 😢, it affects mentally, makes you socially uncomfortable, and turns you into an introvert.

Very natural and realistic characters. Love the simplicity of this drama and it's characters - nothing in excess! It exudes old Pakistani drama soothing vibes where no one is evil/ villain..The humour is so relatable✨ Speaks about societal biasedness towards women, shows the real problems faced between family relations, instead of over dramatic scenes. After ZGH, some sensible & intersting script has come up!! This should be aired atleast thrice a week. One long to week wait again!! Can't get enough of this drama. Criticism done on this drama is totally baseless. I'm a core Molvi lol but I enjoy watching dramas / good content - habitual from childhood lol. Every drama is different, give it some time and it shows you different colors.
