The two lyrics are the best in this song is "When pain starts taking over"... This can be applied to a lot of moments in life as you age, as you realize more and more getting older that your youth is completely gone and aches and pains are now more frequent. The pain of losing a friend, family, etc. So many situations this directly connects with.
The other line is "I guess it's all part of life, but I can't help but feel alone."directly connects again with the pain of losing someone and no one can help or make it better. It's just something you have to figure out how to deal with on your own....... But yet again this doesn't only apply to someone dying. Those stressful moments that happened about everything in life, worrying about trying to lose weight and you're all alone on that.... It's all up to you, only you can do it. Stressing about whether you might die someday, worrying about the future, worrying about money, those moments in life that you stress out about...... When you are worried about those stressful moments in THOSE moments YOU ARE ALONE!.....Even if not truly alone it feels so stressful that you think you are and depending what the subject is you might truly be alone also. Everyone has their personal journey.
Not the greatest singer, not the greatest guitar player but INCREDIBLE lyrics that genuinely connect with anyone who is listening. A lot of people won't pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics but if you stopped just for a moment to think about the multiple meanings of the words........ The connection to life with the lyrics pack is the secret to his success.
Looking forward to multiple more decades of great songs from this guy. Keep on making great music Ed and thank you.
