Windsong, I meet you at the Woman's Spirituality Festival at Salem Oregon back in the 80's. I was the Teacher they called the Elder Rosebud..Im still teaching Seeing but usually use Winyan Staz Wakien nowdays... I was teaching how to see and feel and work with energy fields. My last class everyone signed up so they moved us all into the meadow....You may not remember me as it hs been so long since we saw each other...but I shall always remember you I will also always remember the sight of 500 healers and Teachers from many races and nations in traditional dress dancing around the campfire and the howl when the moon came up!...I also loved that sword dancer in yellow...she was amazing! First time I saw you ..you were sitting on a log in a shaft of sunlight singing...wearing a traditional skirt and shirt of turquoise blue...I have always treasured that memory my sister...and I will always wish you all the best...I bought one of your albums that last day and I still have it....Blessings in all you do...Winyan Staz Wakien ...here is a link to one of my songs >> th-cam.com/video/AkJaCDXjfGw/w-d-xo.html
Hello Winyan, I just saw this post. I loved those festivals. Time for the women to really embrace the circles. I have a new book "Reviving Sacred Woman" to share songs. WindsongMakani.com Find me on Facebook WindsongMartin and we can chat.
A very prominent hindu follower of Arya Samaj (a sect of abstract monotheism of Hindus ) , while he wrote that paganism is the natural evolution of divinity , I find it difficult to understand , now listening these songs I could understand it why ?
More accurate than the one with the friggin digerydoo sang out of key. Would like to hear a more traditionally Cherokee version using the actual correct instruments, in the correct rhythm, but this is as close as i could find, still a little hippyish, abut at least it's not a hindu fusion version, that one was just miserable.
If you had a America indian past life and the song resonates with you know you had one.
