When Sasuke fights against Kasuga, he more or less ironically suggests that they go back to "the village" together, implying that they were childhood friends or at least training partners. Kasuga also seems to have some feelings for Sasuke she tries to bury because of the path she chose as his enemy.

@@seido7826 They sort end up together in Kotaro Fuma's Gaiden Story in SB2 Heroes. When Kotaro is fighting Sasuke and Kasuga, they do synchronized moves, probably ingrained maneuvers from their time training together. After killing them, Kotaro cremates their bodies in a forest fire and there's a black bird and a white birdflying together in a dance-like fashion above the flames. Though life forced them to be enemies, the two lovers could be together in death.
