The most impressive part is dressing the car. As anyone who has done dent repair can tell you smoothing out all those welds and small dents then polishing the whole car like that would take extreme skill
@@Harcorwrestler Custom cars are quite expensive when they're new and hold their value well. The trouble is, you have to find the right buyer when you do sell them.

AJAY K since nobody is replying, crash tests are only needed if the car is being imported from different countries, if it’s a car like this it only needs an inspection and to be registered to be road legal
Absolutely epic!! But honestly, $270,000 is a bit steep. That is the price of a pretty decent house here in Texas. $175,000 seems a bit more reasonable.
well he says it takes over 2000 hours. after the cost of the bits, I'd imagine that only works out at about $100 per hour. I know around here an average mechanic asks about $80 an hour. I think he's worth it.
@tomcoryell how much do you think he could charge for one car? It takes as many hours for him to be satisfied with his work as it takes. I have a couple of jobs, one is a stonemason. Some walls, some setups and some stone allow me to male over $100 an hour at times. Other jobs are smaller, more awkward and in a location where they will be visually scrutinized orders of magnitude more and I am as picky and take as long in that piece as I need to...I did a job last month and I probably made $12/hr because it takes how long it takes to get it right and it was a small area. I can't charge for what I put into it but I can look it for the rest of my life and be happy with my craftsmanship. So back to my original question, what do you think he could be charging per vehicle/earning per hour Tom?
I always intrigued by this question but can't find the answer on internet, so answer me this: Does your vehicle tax get reduced if you made your own vehicle instead of buying them? Would it be right if the tax get lower for something you made by your own hands?
Are there any "open source" schematics for cars like this? Like to get the complete design plans, but you have to figure out how to build it kind of thing?
Cool I like how he does the body of the cars but that’s it; just for looks you can’t go over 45 w all that sheet metal unless you wanna end up like a piece of gum wrapped Inside aluminum foil

Pretty cool how he can make a car out of nothing but sheets of aluminum and it still drives
And aluminum has about 1/3 the density of steel. Probably could have saved a lot of weight this way if that’s what he was looking to do lol
