Sister, I know exactly how you feel. My sister gave my wife and I a son at birth. However, my sister, my wife and I sat him down when he was twelve and told him everything. He was so devastated. He wanted to know why my sister gave him up? My sister, my wife and I all cried. My wife and I told our son that it was the hardest decision my sister had to make. My sister love him so much that he gave him life so he can be with us. My wife and I love our son dearly. We don’t consider him as adopted. You don’t have to give birth to a child to become a mom and a dad. It’s the unconditional love that you give to that child which makes you a mom and a dad. I’m glad that your son understood that. My son is a high school senior this year. I hope that he will love my wife and I like your son loves you.

I can't understand how a parent can curse their children the way some Hmong parents do. A parent does not have to give birth to be mother. I'm so happy to hear that this mother and son chose each other...they were meant to be!!!

Omg! I listened to this story twice now and I’m still balling. Bless his heart and yours for being such tough and true love as a mother and son. Biological doesn’t mean anything. True love comes naturally from the one who raised you and loved you unconditionally. If his biological parents loved him, they wouldn’t try to separate him after knowing where his heart is.
