Tour of Manowar Cay After Hurricane Dorian

After delivering our relief supplies and attending to our boat, we met up with Charmain our coordinator on Manowar, she gave us a tour of Manowar, it was heart breaking to see the devastation. But thankful that no lives were lost on MOW. It was encourging to see the locals come together, along with many volunteers from the US, Canada and other countries. We did not see a sad face on the island, everyone was upbeat and encouraged to rebuild. Much progress is happening.
Much thanks must be given to the Samaritan's Purse, they are funding building supplies, volunteers expenses, flights and food to help in the repair and rebuild in the Abacos, Marsh Harbour, Manowar to name a few, along with a hospital in Freeport. They are also hiring locals to help in the effort, giving them encouragement, and stimulating the local economy, therby, ecouraging landlords and proprietors to rebuild the Abacos and Grand Bahamas. They have promised to stay as long as they are needed.

As a MOW boy living very far away, to see the destruction of my island home brings many emotions to my heart... but God is good and thankfully everyone survived! Thank you so much for the footage... I wish I could be there myself to help out... but in God's time, I will be!
