At first when you said Boyd was the fool I was like "why would they choose to make him the fool?" and then you said that the fool is a very powerful card and is the only card that can defeat the world card in the last round of the game and I mean come on. If that doesn't scream main character power then nothing does. And also I think Boyd will come across the horse when he goes to rescue the witches son on his boat.

It was great to see how they got Neil Young to agree to let them use the song. This is because Crazy Horse is a character on the show, and Neil Young may even be in the chain of people passing artefacts across time. Perhaps that's what convinced him when Jack "explained" it.
I've figured it out, its all about astronomy and ancient astrology, the story of the sun and the star signs it crosses through the solar cycle starting in march with the Equinox. Season three is the winter solstice.
