I climbed this with the wife in October 2022. Actually found it quite tough going, and like most Scottish mountains the start is nearly sea level. But it was the first Munro in a while as our kids are older we have more independence to climb. When we were going up, we saw a man coming down very slowly with a huge pack. Got talking to him, he was from Liverpool, in his early 40s and had some terminal decline illness, he slept over night on top and spent hours star gazing. Fair admired his determination and ability!

Hi mate. Thanks for the great comment. I do believe that climbing these mountains very much depends on how you are on the day and weather conditions obviously. I was very excited this day to do this and that seemed to help me along. Bumping into your Liverpudlian gent, climbing mountains is a great way to clear your head and reset. It’s hard to comprehend the troubles some people go through but the one thing we do have in common is the mountains. Thanks so much for watching. ATB.

@@mountainspeak390 thank you. If he’s not still with us, then he made the most of it while he was here. He was traveling down to a place near Aberdeen that day, not far from us. If we had been going home instead of staying in Thurso, we would have taken him in.

As always a great video mate, i’d been keeping an eye on this being uploaded.. its true what you say about perseverance, I was up near Oban on Friday climbing Beinn Fhionnlaidh, at times it felt never ending but it was well worth it.. views were outstanding could see all the way over to Mull and a few different beaches on it. Where you thinking of for the next video? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Decent vid , id keep that drone in the box though...those things are a pest to nesting birds as well as other walkers. Use your eyes to look at stuff and your brain to remember views , far more fulfilling experience.

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate everyone‘a opinion with regards to the hills. My opinion isn’t that far from yours. However I do enjoy the perspective drone videography gives people and the areas it opens up. I whole heartedly agree that they can be a pest and I’m sure I’m not the only drone pilot that seriously considers the experience of other walkers and animals. I truly try to have as little impact as possible whilst creating exciting and fresh content for people to enjoy. Again, thank you so much for your comment and it’ll certainly keep it fresh in my mind to be considerate when out and about. Thanks for watching. ATB.
