    I wanna try this model but I just don't know. I've purchased 3 of the craftsman 25cc Weedeaters in 6 years and they all have took a crap on me. The last one 2 weeks ago when the motor snapped completely off the pole

      If it was only 2 weeks old I would return it. This WS4200 has been a handful for me, It's heavy and grumpy most days, it's been impossible to properly adjust the idle, ether it's to high to stop the head or so low it dies, nowhere in between, It's definitely a cool machine if you like to tinker but has not been reliable for me, I would highly suggest you invest in a Husqvarna 525L I have a couple of videos on my channel and it's been 100% bullet proof. Thanks for watching

    I have that Trimmer and I love it so much I do wear a harness for it because it tends to be heavy and it does not use fuel mix just gasoline it’s one of the best trimmers that I used

      You are correct, it is quite a heavy trimmer.

    Had one, won't have another. It ate a piston and cylinder. It smoked at ate oil from the get go. Craftsman used to make reliable, quality equipment, not any longer. Junk!

      Interesting, the only issue I have had thus far is it can be finicky to start. I am actually taking it with me tomorrow on a weed cutting job to play with it, I don't even think I have tried to start it in 8 months. Thanks for watching.

    I thought Sears went belly-up, Craftsman still being manufactured?

    • @jason-white

      After sears went belly up Stanley Black and Decker acquired the Craftsman brand in 2017. They are now made in the same factories as Dewalt, they just use a different color plastic for the most part. Thanks for watching.

    Mine has an awful vibrations as soon as a put the trimmer head on it. Plus the throttle cable is a bit loose now.. Less than a year on it. Homeowner use not landscaping

      Very interesting. Mine is a year and a month old and running just as strong as the day I got it. I will admit though I have an entire fleet of trimmers so I have not put a lot of time on this one. I recommend contacting Craftsman, I had to recently about one of their new power tools and they were incredibly helpful. They shipped me a new blower to replace the one I was having trouble with.

      @@jason-white the engine runs great its just the trimmer gead I'm assuming it's not balanced well by the manufacturer. Throttle cable isn't a big deal I'll just tinker with it.

    I accidentally rolled up the trimmer and I can’t get it back out. Anyone know how to let the trimmer out?

      Are you talking about the line in the head?

    • @jaymoar3561
      @jaymoar3561 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jason-white yeah I accidentally rolled it all the way up. But I looked in the manual and it told me how to open up the trimmer head.

    This is an awesome weed eater, BUT let me know when anybody is able to find the whole replacement head because one of the hold clips broke and I can’t find it anywhere not even at Lowe’s, I’ll never buy this model again

      Is it something a universal head would work for?

    • @justabouthadit5872
      @justabouthadit5872 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got one and a pile if different heads for it, my favorite being the Stihl three blade with mild steel flat bar in place of rhe plastic blades. Sounds like a helicopter, cuts like a chain saw. A beast.

    As someone who works at a Shindaiwa/Echo dealer. This looks like a similar setup to the Shindaiwa Hybrid 4 Stroke. Sounds similar to a Shindaiwa engine as well. With just an added oil ring and oil sump. Customer brought one of these in that smokes like crazy. They don't want it and we don't work on these typically. So it is a free be for me. In all honesty, if the oil ring is gone. Looks like I would knock that off. And run mixed fuel in it and run it like a Shindaiwa Hybrid 4 Stroke.

    • @jason-white

      I had a nearly identical Troybilt one not long ago and found out the top end kit to fix bad rings costs more than just buying a new unit. I was very disappointed that the parts were more expensive than the machine. It really turned me off of department store 4 strokes.

      After the two stroke oil gums up the valves and makes no compression, let me know how this works out for you.
