People who think that because Julien has beaten Sha’Carri this year on the global stage, she will dominate in the future, are delusional. Athletes typically peak once every two years. This means that when an athlete sets a personal best, you can expect them to have a decline in performance the following year. For example, Shericka and Sha’Carri both ran 10.65 last year, but are struggling this year! I remember when Felix ran 21.69; everyone expected her to go 21.5 the following year, but it never happened, and she ended up injured. She peaked again in 2014-2015. Similarly, when Elaine ran 10.54, everyone expected a new world record the next year, but that didn’t happen either. That’s just how track is! The extremes these athletes push their bodies to are the reason why it takes time for them to heal and peak again. Peaking isn’t a constant thing. If all goes right, Sha’Carri could have a tremendous season next year. But nowadays, people just say anything.

The difference is that athletes who are far ahead of their main competitors won’t be affected as much, because being a few seconds slower could still earn them a gold medal. This is why longer sprints are easier to dominate than shorter sprints. Being 0.85 seconds slower could still get Sydney McLaughlin a gold medal, while in the 100m, being 0.10 seconds slower would definitely cost any of these ladies a gold medal.
Amber Anning, McKenzie Long, Grace Stark, Jasmine Jones, Juliette Whittaker, Parker Valby, Savannah Sutherland, Sam Ogazi, Clement Ducos & Maka Charamba all ran long NCAA Seasons & made their individual OLY Finals. In general, would love if fans stopped automatically going to 'injury or not caring enough' whenever their favourite athletes get beat as their competitors are allowed to be simply better on the day & in Julien's case, she proved it this yr winning World Indoors, OLY & DL Finals all in the same yr (1st time it's ever been done) & beating Sha'Carri comfortably in 3 of their 5 100m races this yr! Agree that it's a bad character trait & a bad example for kids to repeatedly pull up early in races you know you're getting beat in! Combination of GST & Athlos Meets (now a WA Continental Tour Meet) has forced the DL to increase its Prize Money, no doubt all WACT Meets will also follow suit! All 4 'Slams' of GST (supposedly LA, NY, Birmingham UK & Kingston JAM) are rumoured to run from early Apr - late May/early Jun, so will likely overlap with the first 5 of the 15 DL Meets in the early part of the outdoor season. With both GST & Gabby's Athlos Meets both unfortunately excluding Field Events, there's a real opportunity for Crouser to soft launch a Shot Put League but quickly expand it to include the rest of the Throws & Jumps cos they need exposure too even more so than Track Events! 1 Track (100/110mH) & 1 Field (TJ) competition between you would be great :)

I am in support of the league home grown as the athletes dont have to go to the Diamond League they can stay at home and push each other its a win win especially if the can schedule comfortablely around the majors....its perfect since the Olympics are in LA 4 years from now.....

It as to travel in the footsteps of the Dimond league meaning Travel into Europe too… It cannot look like home town advantage for the USA only.. The European circuit is not as great as it used to be. The Weltklasse in Zurich used to be a min-championship meet. They used to run each event and not just the DL ones.
I loooove JuJu but I agree with Noah, Shelly Ann and Elaine have truly been dominant over several years. Shericka has also proven her dominance in the 200. I definitely think Julien is on track to becoming that dominant though.
Alfred is clearly the better athlete and she is younger. Shacarri is a hit or miss. Alfred has consistentency. Shacarri will never beat this Alfred in any title race
