- How I Created the RICHEST KINGDOM by Playing TALL in Crusader Kings 3? EASY! By playing as one of the BEST KINGDOM STARTS to play tall in CK3 to boost my development to insane OP levels!
Playing tall is a great strategy for players who are tired of always blobbing out and making massive empires! With these strategy, you could easily be making 220 gold PER MONTH using the power of playing tall in CK3 by investing your gold into all your counties! You can unlock every tech in Crusader Kings 3 and increase the development in ANY county to 100 and upgrade and build every building! This is truly a great strategy to try out!
I will be using all the tips and tricks and strategies that I went over in my Lifestyle guide series, mainly focusing on Martial and Learning! I'm also playing with all the current DLC, Including Northern Lords, Royal Court and Fate of Iberia, as well as the latest addition to the game: Legacy of Persia and Legends of the Dead!

The pope inheriting 20% of france here is kinda scary, but reminds me of the absolute horror I encountered with my friends as we were waiting for the pope to call a crusade. We wanted him to do this so we could re-route it into the mongol horde cause the Khan was going way too wild and due to reach us in the Slavic states. I clicked on him while talking about him being lazy to remind myself of his name and saw that he had a Liege on his profile. that Liege was Genghis Khan. Turns out Georgia gave the pope a county at some point and the pope got bullied into joining the Mongol horde because the pope "shared a border" with the mongols.

@molybdaen11 I got 3 bounties two stays at the dungeon I ate too much and got nearly killed by two basic bandits lost my horse bought a horse and for half the game had about 20 groschen at any time

Table of Princes is pretty good when your house is small, but once you start growing the numbers it becomes a pain in the ass very quickly. I had a new king almost weekly for a while there because the heirs were all in their 90's and 80's and there were like dozens of old ass dudes in my family. Plus when family members end up on the thrones of foreign lands and don't make cadet houses, you've gotta give away the land again and again to keep playing tall.
That said, once you get absolute crown authority is when table of princes shines, since you can designate your heir it basically becomes primogeniture unless you die unexpectedly and forget to designate.
Bohemia is like my favorite pizza place, occasionally I'll branch out and try a new place, but I always end up back at Bohemia.

I was going to say that, once you can designate heir this is stupidly OP, not like is too hard to deal with succesion but its easy for newer players

Great video, i love playing as czechs and the best thing is, that when you get the table of princes and implement its succession, so that all titles are inherited by one person and then you also get the absolute crown authority, meaning you can choose your own heir amongs your chilrdren, you efectively recreate the promogeniture/ultimogeniture succession laws like 200 years earlier than normal, its broken and i love it
I did an Austria game that annexed Bohemia. You have to tech a while and help your liege expand to meet the requirements for the HRE. I think my game got updated while I was doing this, because the AI wouldn't it for a while, then the patch came out and he did. But once you have the tech and your liege is hre you can become the Arch Duchy of Austria which has primogeniture.
Also because dukes have no duchy limit, and if you're rich you can build all the duchy buildings. You can get quite strong as a mega duke with ten duchy capitals and ten special buildings. All you troops stationed in high bonus counties, every mine county in a high bonus money duchy.

I remember playing as the czechs and thinking why does the HRE control Jerusalem, that's kind of funny. Then I noticed that it wasn't just any HRE vassal, it was me. I won the crusade and put a sick man on the throne who set it to house seniority. I decided to try to find as many marriages that would inherit titles into my realm that I could. It only worked so well, but I also got Novgorod that way.
Bohemian businessmen out there just cashing those Czechs.
A tip, if you make your steward your best friend he will be better at doing his councilor tasks. Meaning he can increase development quicker. You can friend him easily through the befriend intent of a hunt or a feast. Having a friend as your steward all the time really makes a difference in the long run.
Honestly when you got the french titles I was thinking. Sure give them to the English. But you whent above my expectations and gave it all to the pope. Brillian move!

Playing Tall is especially fun and rewarding when using the mod "Centralization" (and remember, mods dont halt achievements anymore, for example "the king of gold and iron" 😉)

im actuallly doing a bohemia play thru rn, desperately trying to built the university. it's pretty fun
Btw you can start as Jarl Haesteinn and conquer Bohemia from the start, hybridise culture, accept Christianity and beg pope for money from the start (as well as not get holy war from neighbours) (totally not trying to fuel your Haesteinn addiction)
I do this every now and then. I play tall. Conquer land or get land randomly, and then I just give it away to a cousin of half brother. Which gives me an ally and adds renown.
I would love to see Koifish play that realistic CK3 mod Laith was playing recently, he was complaining the game was too easy.

A tip if you do wish to continue, you can swap religions to Lollardy for Lay Clergy (or just reform into it, but swapping is probably cheaper) and stack building cost reduction on church buildings, as well as reform into megalithic buildings for a true "Peter the Rock" and Stone playthrough.
The development boosts are nutty.

Bohemia has 3 farmlands in its capital. Access to 2 special building and some of the highest number of baronies in the game. It's very strong to play tall you can easily eclipse even the HRE or Byzantine empires
As a Czech person, I have to say your pronounciation was pretty ok
So many times I try to play tall with Bohemia, I end up getting land I don't want or suddenly being on the throne for the HRE 😆

Hello Koifish! I've recently stumbled upon a nice start in ck3 and would love to see you try it! I started as a count in auvergne 876, and rerolled until I got learning on the caracter. With that, I steamrolled to either theologian or scholar in the learning skill tree, and upon reaching that, a event pops up, that lets you form the adaptism religion which is basically a cult or sect, whatever you want to call it. You can go a bunch of different routes from there like conquering the holy site in Lyon so that you can become the head of faith, or just conquer the duchies that you have claims on, because you are of house Gellones.
I dont believe that you have done this start so hope you see this comment and perhaps give it a try. :)

My first tall game was Haesteinn in Sardinia
I'm feeling quite hungry.
As someone who usually plays as a femape ruler, you can easily have 10+ kids. I usually marry at ~30 and still have quite a few heirs to choose from. Once had twelve kids as an infertile woman, so, well... you just get used to being pregnant half of the time. When I give birth while commanding an army I sometimes give my children names connected with the places/battles where they were born :D
You gotta continue the play through no matter how cursed it becomes. The CK3 gods literally gave you France and then said that h and your dynasty is in Bythantium.

To be honest, you can make the richest kingdom literally anywhere because of how dogshit the AI is. My latest run was an 866 start into Switzerland playing tall in the mountains and was the richest country and most developed in the game. I could defend my liege, the HRE, from a dissolution war, independence war, uprising with kingdom tier vassals support, claimant war and multiple defensive wars SIMULTANEOUSLY with only my men at arms stack. Literally run 5k MaA into a 50k army and stack wipe them. Every crusader state was of my dynasty because I could just wipe them all every time and there was essentially no more Islam except for West Africa and I didn't expand beyond my borders in the alps.

house seniority never works out for me, some random uncle ends up inheriting my lands when my king dies unimpededly. Do not lie to the people and call it over powered, succession wars are fine compared to always switching to random old uncles of ur intended line

100 dev first, full world dominance next, but please!!! with haestein (and first goal: the dynastie legacy where you can choose a prefered atribute, choose albino!) and try to set the witchcraft cavern up as early as possible (it gets worse the later in the game.)
