- I explain how I'm planing to build this new #fixed gantry #CNC with all used parts I have collected over the past months from different ebay sellers, also clean all linear rails and ballscrews and apply new grease to make sure everything is good to go for the next steps

the idea to use a fixed gantry is really neat
Epoxy granite 🤘 Damn good stuff. Top Secret Use: works like a charm inside speaker boxes (just the corners). Rounds off the corners, dampens most vibrations even at higher volumes, and makes the speaker sound warmer. Convert $10 speakers to something that sounds like $100.
I am truly in awe of your talent.
Looking forward to another great build
Looks solid man, those are great starting parts, even if they are used, they will outperform any brand new chinese equivalents. Well done!
Looks awsome man. Cant wait to see it in action.
I made a crude model of my machine in fusion and added detail when needed to help wrap my head around some things. But for the most part I used drawings.
Resistors Are Futile I actually don’t know how to draw complex parts on Fusion360. That’s why I image it on my mind and draw it on paper
Hello
About linear moving, you bought parts and built X, Y, Z linear assembly, or bought an assembly?
Can you share the list of parts, please?
Thank you very much
Where did you get the nsk xy frames. I looked everywhere on ebay with no luck.
How much is it? I already purchased some THK NSK linear actuators and will build router machine soon.
raychar c I bought the “X and Y axis” parts for $450 and the Z axis for $300. And I found some aluminum extrusion for $1 an inch. But I still need to buy other parts
@@radikult-custom A good price for this rigid stuffs. Thought you may already know there may be some areas of used parts that needed to take care. I once bought a used harmonic drive and ended up with replacing a cross roller bearing there.
is this a traveling column design?
Those parts were used to build a Fixed gantry design.
I built a cnc very similar to what you're talking about. If you would like some pictures for ideas, just send me a message. My stages are all steel construction as well. Travel on mine ended up being 12x12x12. I used ClearPath servos and it works really nicely.
Machine 27 nice. I’m using some stepper from my first cnc and controllers, but if the cnc turn out to be really good. I’ll switch the controller and buy some clearpath servos
Best of luck with the project!
Love the idea, If you need some help making a 3D Model of your designs feel free to DM me, putting together a drawing is pretty quick and can help a bunch with assembly
Ryan Kelly I try to draw it on paper and image it on my mind. I have the overall idea of how to make this cnc. Some parts I’ll have to improvise lol
I think those NSK stages have a base made out of cast alu.
AntiVaganza yes, you are correct. I try making a tiny hole and notice it was aluminium
Your eBay links don't work. What linear stages did you use?
I found the linear stages “Used” on eBay. That’s why there is no links to the actual parts. But if you find something similar you could build a CNC
@@radikult-custom Thanks. It looks like the Z axis might be dual truck on each side. That's what I would like. Good work, btw, on your projects!
u should get used atc spindle got mine for 800 usd for 4.5kw bt30 the runout is good compare to typical chinese spindle
Wan V if that 4.5kw vfd can run from a two phase 220v maybe.
Where did you get the spindle?
I’m going to be using some spare parts first to make sure everything works and then if it’s really good I’ll spend more money on servos and atc possibly
@@radikult-custom owh you will have limited choice then since im using 3 phase 415 i got it from china directly the new 1 cost around 4k usd still worth it since it used from industrial use not hobby grade type
Wan V yeah I only have 2 phase power. That’s why I can only get maybe up to 3kw vfd s
@@radikult-custom owh yeah need to get the biggest you can get since you making rigid frame of course need better motor too :D
Cast granite? Cast by volcanoes lol
Brian Graves fine sand and epoxy
cool. can't wait to see what you make when it's done
