Watching from Germany, these prices are pretty much the same here, but wages are obviously much higher here than in Greece. How do greek people afford this? it must be tough
And this is the question Greeks have never answered since I started visiting Greece in 1988. The same goes for their salaries. In 2023, I asked what happened to all the Albanians, to which they replied they get 15 euros in Germany, and it's less work.Things in Greece never change.
@@ToGoIsToKnow I wonder if Greeks shop elsewhere for olive oil. If so, I’d be interested to know, or are they stuck with paying exorbitant prices for a local good.
In 2023 there was a shortage of oil due to the weather.Prices gone thru the roof even the locals where complaining.70 AUD for 4 litre tin here from 35-40 few years back. All Greek products have increased in price here in Oz.We have stopped buying many greek products due to price increases.Pasta is another ,4 dollars here in Oz as in 2023 in Greece I could buy it for around 1 euro. Its even more expensive than the king of pasta, Barilla.
Great job much appreciated. I bet you can get even better prices for groceries at the open market.
Very true!
That’s not true in Western Europe. Open market is always far more expensive.

I did a video at Aldi in Frankfurt and the prices looked cheap in comparison to Greece.
Same story elsewhere in Europe. The salary is half, but prices the same.
