too bad that only 3 of this band are still going strong (the hornsection)! The rest is new in the band as of 2016. Together though they still sound great...only if Robert is singing. The new guy who replaced Jason Scheff (one year Jeff Coffey) is a great singer but doesn't sound like Chicago used to sound. 😢
@@jeaninefacundo6343 with going strong I mean, these 3 originals still CREATE the REAL SOUND of Chicago! The newbies/replacers don't sound like Chicago at all! 😪
@@Waimeafalls Robert Lamm is not part of the horn section and Jeff Coffey is long gone. There have been many new members since 2016. Is there anything else that you want to tell us? But yes, the band only sounds authentic during the rare times that Robert is singing lead vocal.
WOW WOW WOW Robert Lamm sings this song now for more than 55 years. Saw him do that in 1969 in Amsterdam for the 1st time. His voice still is the best, wonder why he doesn't play his guitar himself though but this is one stellar performance. ❤
What is wrong with Robert? Why isn't he playing either keyboards or guitar? I heard he once was suffering from an inner ear infection and had a bout with vertigo. This appears to be something different. Can you update me? His singing voice is as awesome as ever.
I agree, he’s suffering from something. Hope and pray he’s ok. Bobby was the bridge between Kath and Cetera. Kath deeper baritone, Cetera higher voice and Bobby in the middle.
Unbelievable Robert will be 80 in October...Looks great... Also Peter Cetera turns 80 next week and he still looks amazing... Hard to believe its been almost 40 years since he left Chicago..
Wow he is looking 80 but love him! Trombone sounded terrible. I probably wont see Chicago again, seen them so many times want to remember them years ago!
Being in the high school band, (I played trumpet) these guys were our musical heroes. Seeing this makes me want to cry because I too am getting old. I wish Robert nothing but the best for keeping the show going and it's tough watching this.
Sometimes it is better to retire when you are at the top of your game than hang on beyond the expiration date. Love this band but after seeing the Chicago/EWF concert last night I had mixed emotions. Lamm only played keyboard on 3 or 4 songs and spend most of the evening standing behind a microphone. Definitely appeared more frail. Jimmy and Lee were still displaying their usual energy on stage. Band is now mostly replacement players carrying the workload playing the same setlist that hasn’t changed in 25 years. Good seeing the band perform in concert but thinking maybe better to keep my concert memories from the 70’s and the 80’s untarnished.
@@SBDDA I had the good fortune of seeing Terry Kath 8 times and when he left us too early it changed the whole dynamic of the band. I still have my $6.50 ticket. I'm a big Tower of Power fan and they're getting up there also. We all get old and it's tough to see the great musicians ride off into the sunset.
This is the first time I've seen Robert Lam sing this song without playing a keyboard or guitar at the same time. He looks uncomfortable without them and lost. I would hope he goes back to what's been working for the last 55 years.
Chicago used to be a fantastic band with some of the greatest music in history. Perhaps they are still touring because they need the money but musically they sound very tired these days. Boys, you deserve your retirement. There's plenty of great Chicago videos that will be watched into perpetuity. No one will fault you for calling it quits and I'm a big fan. Think about it.
I got a great video recording of this song from the April 2023 Baltimore concert. Robert was healthy enough then to still do keyboards and play acoustic guitar. It’s unsettling to see him without an instrument.
I was a huge fan in the beginning. It’s so sad seeing them now looking so old backed by these replacements’ replacements.I choose to remember them as they were in their famous Tanglewood concert
OMG...Why do they keep on performing? It's terrible out of tune. Lee only plays false notes. Do something meaningful with your lives while you still can, people but stop performing!
These boys are still going strong and incredible! ❤️

He doesn't play "his guitar" because he plays keyboards.
Robert lamm... brilliant ❤
Seeing them Saturday in Palm Desert. We are looking forward to it. 👌😎 1st time. Whatever they can bring. I’m good.
such a great song; hard to see Robert in this shape. Touring is hard at any age - pushing 80 must be a real challenge

He skipped the show in Virginia (DC area,)!

Robert Lamm has one of the coolest voices ever! Still doing it in his 70s!
Saw them last month in West Palm Beach. They still have it!! 🎼🎤🎹

Chicago. Looking old and tired. Time to pack it in and enjoy retirement. Pankow solo awful.
Pankow misses a lot these days. And Robert not playing guitar here is sad.
I love him too❤❤❤

Father time is catching up with Lamm .
Gracias por existir, muchas nostalgia, pero aquí estamos, saludos dé un cubano que soñábamos con fantasía de la época.
Wow! He still sounds great! And handsome as ever!
I love him always
Sorry, this is not Chicago, its Robert Lamm with a backing band,
But don't forget James Pankow and Lee Loughnane are originals too, and still up there with him.
Let me sing Peter cetera hiitts with Chicago

Great song. Chill bumps seeing Robert sing it. I saw them in Cincinnati on this tour. What city stop was this. Great job filming also.
@@22_cincatt Thank you! Filmed @ Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Robert Lamm sounds awesome as usual. But, I’m sorry, Pankow’s trombone playing was, in a word, irritating !!!
I know, right.
Very hard to listen to. But he's usually spot on, I suppose even the pros can have an off night...
Siempre es un agasajo verles y escuchar su legado musical..... Abrazo!
The rest of the band don't seem to mind his trombone playing but also keep in mind Pankow is nearly 80 years old too .

Good point. I’m 68, and get dizzy blowing up a balloon. Sigh.

yes, unsettling. we saw them a week after this recording - same situation.
Your so handsome

I agree, they should've stopped when Terry died. He was the heart & soul of the band bedsides being one of the best guitarists in the world!!
@@fab4647 I had the good fortune of seeing Terry play 8 times. When he left us too early, it changed the whole dynamic of the band.
Trombone is overpowering.
That’s been going on for years. He feels the need to out do himself.
Camera guy is sitting right in front. Impossible to get a balanced sound recording.
Can we get Robert his 12 string Martin?
Sound is way off. Sounds like everyone is in a different state! Awful and I love Chicago.
How old are you
Robert is pushing 80!!!!!
Isn't he amazing ❣️🙏🏽
this is pathetic !.
So yeah, that trombone... not the best I've heard.
Without Peter Cetera there is no Chicago.
Or Danny or Terry Kath
Not so.
In my opinion Chicago died when Terry Kath died. Chicago went through a string of replacements then others left. Just not the same band.
They need to retire.
You need to go to their live show - then get back to us.
The female singing along ruins it!
