Guys, this is just our account of what is happening. We don't live in the Shanghai city centre which is full of densly packet tall buildings. We live in a district away from the city centre where there are less cases and more villa communities. As there no cases, restriction within the communities are relaxed now but if there are new cases, the movement will be restricted again.

They are definitely not compromising with quality. It's overwhelming! I doubt countries like US could ever provide so much food to it's people in times of need and difficulty! It shows why people would love to live in China! Your neighbor(s) is extremely kind! They share so much with you. In western countries you don't get to see so much closeness between neighbors. I am also in Shanghai, live at Pudong area, my community is 20 layers of high-rise, high population density, has been lock in community for two months, during lockdown, the government provided free food and daily supplies every week, my fridge is always filling up with foods, life has nothing to complain about, I just want it unlockdown sooner.

Thankss for sharing Ruchi. A big difference in the management of Chinese and Indian govt. The prices for even basic things are now difficult for the middle class people in India. Since the second wave outbreak, I found the prices in India only going up with no control from the govt. even for very basic items. I really appreciate the measures that Chinese govt is taking to make the life of people easy.
Ever since the second wave, everything is getting expensive by the day here. Government is doing nothing except blaming previous governments, giving stupid excuses and finding statues under mosques.

How china's lockdown is so normal .No negativity any more.All essential need provided by government.There are no negativity spread by any media or social media...On the other hand india's lockdown life was very tough, lots of negativity spread through media,and most important thing people are also cooparate to china's government.
Indian lockdown was worst or daily wage labourers ,you were hearing labourer walking 500-1000km from Delhi to various parts of India especially up, bihar. So many people died during covid but got not much support from government, infact hospitalization , emergency services, ambulance had become too expensive.
Because our lockdown was totally unplanned, more like a knee jerk reaction. Allowing uneducated politicians to run the country is probably the worst thing we did.

At first period of covid lockdown, food price were high too, then Shanghai govt control the price,and free food was supplied from all other provinces of China , now the price is normal. and we received 6 time of free food (including some vegetables,fruits,noodles, rice.....etc)

Wow.. So difference between indian n Chinese covid lock.. In India police beat lots of people n no free food supply and many died of lack of oxygen supply and food price were so high
Nihao, Indian friend. At first period of covid lockdown, food price were high too, then Shanghai govt control the price,and free food was supplied from all other provinces of China , now the price is normal. and we received 6 time of free food (including some vegetables,fruits,noodles, rice.....etc)

GOvt hi nahi common log bhi aise hi hai. Yahaan hum Ivan ko kachre wale ki gaadi mein bhi bitha dete hai kyunki yahaan kaam se izzat kum nahi hoti. Laborer aur owner saath mein hi baithke khate hai aur ek hi room mein so jaate hai ye to mein khud dekha hai. Rich log bhi kabad ka kaam kar lete hai extra paisa banane ke liye. Bilkul kuchh antar hi nahi hai

US is in acute shortage of baby milk powder. BTW, fermented pickle is good for health. Similar to Kimchi, they are probiotics and good for the gut system. I loved watching your videos, Ruchi. Keep putting it out.

Glad to know china took better care of its citizens than Indian govt during lockdowns. Here poor people were getting rice and wheat flour only most of the time. No daily grocery stuff.
