ದ್ವೀಪ-ಈಗ just ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡಿದೆ.ಕಾಸರವಳ್ಳಿಯವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಬೇಕುಯಂಬ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮೊದಲನೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಇದು.ದ್ವೀಪ ಅಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗೆ ಬರೋದು ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿರುವ ನೀರು ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಒಂದು ತುಂಡು ಭೂಮಿ.ದ್ವೀಪ ಹೇಗೆ ಹೊರ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಜೊತೆಗಿನ ಕೊಂಡಿಯನ್ನ ಕಳಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೊ ಹಾಗೆನೆ ಒಂದು ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಸಿಗದೆ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂಟಿತನವನ್ನ ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.ಮೌಡ್ಯ ನಂಬಿ ಬದುಕುವ ಜನ,ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಆ ಮೌಡ್ಯ ಬೆತ್ತಲಾದಗ ಕಂಗಾಲಾಗಿ ಕೂರುವ ಗಳಿಗೆ, ಗಂಡು ಹೆಂಡಿರ ನಡುವಿನ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಕಂಪನಗಳು,ಹುಡುಗಾಟ,ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಟ ಇದೆಲ್ಲದರ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಒದ್ದಾಟ,ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಈ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.ನಾ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನ,ಮೆದುಳನ್ನತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಡುವ ಸಿನಿಮಾ.ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನ ಚಿತ್ರಣ,ಅದರ ಉಸಿರಾದ ಜೋರು ಮಳೆಯ ವಾಸ್ತವವನ್ನ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸಾದ್ದಾರೆ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ. ಮುಗಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನ-ಬಯಸಿದೆನೂ ದೀಪ,ಅಪ್ಪಿದೆನೂ ದ್ವೀಪ.
ಅದ್ಭುತ ಅಮೋಘ ಚಿತ್ರ.. ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ವಾಸುದೇವ ರಾವ್.. ಹರೀಶ್ ರಾಜ್ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ""ದ್ವೀಪ'" ಇಂತಹ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ಕಾರಣರಾದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಕಾಸರವಳ್ಳಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಅನಂತ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು.. ಇಂತಹ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕವಿ ನಾ. ಡಿಸೋಜ ರವರಿಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು... 👏👏👏👏👏

This movie is pure art.. The most realistic movie I have ever seen. The climax in which the woman's efforts are simply forgotten or ignored is the best scene. Though not a tragedy movie it's a brilliantly written story. Music is really really good. Also soundary's acting is something else. Unmatchable even today. I give it 10/10.

'She' is there in every family, very caring and struggling to lead family. She is beautiful because of her kindness, caring , struggling for life and for her optimism. She is not equal to him but She is greater than him.
It is a sensitive film which seems to suggest that an island-like situation can exist between the couple even if they happen to live under the same roof. The feeling of loneliness and separation felt by the woman is similar to that of a person living in an island. If the external island was due to the construction of a dam, the internal isolation was caused by the insensitive attitude of the husband and his inablility to appreciate the effort made by the wife to save the family.
Wonderful role and act by soundarya ji.... It really touches heart ..no man or woman can bear the pain of being their partner compelled by others... And here is in this movie it depicts that man is a fool of emotion .

It is a sensitive film which seems to suggest that an island-like situation can exist between the couple even if they happen to live under the same roof. The feeling of loneliness and separation felt by the woman is similar to that of a person living in an island. If the external island was due to the construction of a dam, the internal isolation was caused by the insensitive attitude of the husband and his inablility to appreciate the effort made by the wife to save the family.
Movie makes much more sense when you understand this symbolism. Thanks for making me understand the symbolism presented in the movie.
