Honestly I never thought I'd live past 22. Grew up on the southside of Chicago. Joined the military as infantry when I turned 18 then 3 years later I was fighting terrorists in Afghanistan then going to invade iraq. After I got out I became a firefighter/medic and few years later switched to law enforcement. Been shot twice, stabbed, electrocuted, blown up, burned and in a near fatal accident with a semi truck. Yet some how I'm alive and now in my 40s dealing with blood pressure and fighting to stay in shape. Getting old sucks, but at least I'm enjoying the adventure still.

First up, to be a fan of State of Mine is recognizing the music is done in their style - the style we all know and love. FIRs' remake was ok, but it is a different sound. Personally, I absolutely LOVE this cover guys! It is not to say FIR's cover isn't good, but the two are completely separate sounds. State of Mine knows how to rock it out, knows how to make it truly pay homage to the original and just keeps kicking ass with their music. Semper Fi
