Another quality video and editing Derek, thank you. Your taste is somewhat similar to mine, although the strap on the 'busy' Breitling, should be plain, in my humble opinion.
Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll play around with the plain straps I have in the shop. Hopefully I can find a good match before I list the watch for sale. 🙏
@@TimelessHistoryChannelthere’s a good article on Watch Time by Gisbert Brunner that explains that Seiko brought the 6139 chronograph to market in May 1969 beating the Swiss competitors.
Just as a sidenote,Lemania made the first automatic chronograph wristwatch in 1947,but didn't release it as they didn't think it would be popular. Pictures can be found on Google if you search lemania automatic chronograph 28th October 1947
What a treat, thank you for working on this for us. I like several of these, with the top three being the Movado chrono; Bulova diver (wow a diver that small enough for my wrist!); the beautiful to look at Certina. Cheers!
I love my Benrus jump hour. It was the 2nd vintage watch I bought. I also just recently sold my white dial Sky Chief. Unfortunately i needed the cash for another watch, a UG Tri-Compax Triple Date moon phase
Breightling is so beautiful with that dial complementing the gold
I want the Breitling!!! The engraving is a bonus... Totally understand adding this piece to the personal collection
I have a original benrus wrist alarm. that jump hour is ahead of its time
Nice! 😁

Seiko brought the first automatic chronograph to market in Japan before Zenith or Heuer-Breitling-Hamilton.
Interesting. I’ll have to look into that. Thank you for sharing!

Something the Swiss watch industry will like it redacted. 😆
As I know, the El Primero was presented in Jannuary, Cal. 11 was presented in March, and in June the 6139 was the first on the open market.

You're welcome. It sounds like we have similar tastes. 😉
The first automatic chronograph was done by Seiko with its 6139 movement.
Thank you for sharing this info. The last 6139 movement I worked on was around 20 years ago. 😅

It's sad to hear you had to let go of the SkyChief, but you got something amazing in return. 😀
Always learn something with you sharing your research. Thanks!
Glad to hear. This makes creating this video worth it!
