    sir u have said that if high current will pass through galvanometer ,it will burn..but shunt is used to measure high current through galvanometer ... if it is so ..than the galvanometer should break....little bit confused sir..please help me to clear this doubt.

    sir ammeter mei Jo calculation hm kartay hain shunt ka formula nikalte hain.. ye yahi show karta hai k ammeter bananay k lye kitna shunt resistance hona chaiye??

    Sir,what if we have not applied shunt and gave current which is beyond or greater than ig(full deflection current)?ammeter would still show ig or will get burned or damaged?

    Aslamoalikum, sir! If we reduce the current from 2A to 1A then why galvanometer show half deflection? I mean, galvanometer se abhi bhi 5mA kiyon nhi guzrta baqi current shunt se guzr jae...

    sir how is ig current through galvanometer measured? doesn't it change with change in shunt?

      Santosh Ojha no it doesn't change it is the current passing through galvanometer when it' show full deflection
      We change shunt resistance to change the range of our ammeter
