My Magnifier menu looks different and has none of those features running iOS 17.2.1 on a 14 Pro Max. why would they remove such a useful feature for so many people, including myself..??
Obviously it was there, I saw you do it right in front of me ..

I’ve only just started watching but I want to remember to comment on somethings I always like-indeed feel grateful for-about your videos. First you always say what version of the software you’re talking about! I can’t tell you how much time I’ve wasted trying to figure out why my progress through some software was nothing like the video only to discover that it’s an older, unidentified version. Second, no musak, just your clear, crisp voice. Don’t ever change! Now I’m off to watch the video.

As a mother of twins I want to congratulate you and your wife. Multiples are blessing. The experience is unique. It’s also exhausting in the beginning. It gets better. Our twin boys are 18 now and preparing to go to college. This new chapter is a difficult one and will take a lot of adjustments. God bless your family.

Thanks Tom I’m Disabled I consider myself pretty tech savvy & I always get asked how to change settings on various phones all my tech equipment is Apple get confused on settings sometimes.
I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max but get very confused with the settings in general as there are so many eg mobile service, what are haptics & Picture in Picture please.
Thanks look forward to next video

    • @ProperHonestTech

Oh and to answer - haptics are the way in which the phone 'vibrates' when you perform actions on it, and picture in picture is a way of shrinking a video so that you can view it whilst doing other things on your phone.

another great video. The Apple tech is still amazing after all these years. I am 78 years old, I started on Honeywell mainframes then IMB. My monster calculator was a HP41 with 1K ROM packs. I did the TRS 80, VIC 20 and the Apple 1e and then to IBM compatible 8086. Our 1st hard drive for the mainframe was a 5MB unit the size of a fridge and $350,000. We have come so far. I llook forward to your videos to see if I have missed anything. There is always something. But I am disappointed with the Shortcuts app. Considering the computing power of my phone, it doesn't come anywhere near the Phillps Pronto remote in 2001. There must be an app that will compare with that remote to give me stacked instructions.

Live Text is great. I was trying to add a long comment to a TH-cam post when TH-cam and my keyboard were suddenly locked up. Seeing that I was having to force close TH-cam and my keyboard I simply used my Accessibility Shortcut to immediately take a screenshot. Later I simply used Live Text to extract the comment from the photo. Saved me from the hassle of typing it back in manually. If you don’t know how do the research on creating an accessibility shortcut that all that it does is take a hassle free screenshot.

HEY Tom, I love your videos. They are incredibly informative and interesting, I know it sounds silly but it's the highlight of my Friday. I don't understand what Apple is doing and I agree with your frustration with their updates or lack of ingenuity. As an aside, I was wondering what you think about headphones. I have been a huge fan of Apple AirPods however they never seem to be loud enough for me. Even with the noise cancellation on they are not loud enough. Any suggestions as to which headphones would provide me with a louder sound? I really do not want over the ear headphones. thanks Dan

First of all, thank you for your videos. They are great. And besides that, I’m wondering if you know a solution for an iOS issue. I’ll try to explain: whenever I start a phone call from my recent calls there is one inconvenient issue. When I’m about to end the call and my finger is already about to hit the end call button, sometimes the person that I call hangs up just a tiny moment before that. The ongoing call disappears and you end up in your recent calls list. The still moving finger that was meant to end the call hits one of the recent calls and your phone starts an unwanted phone call. Do you know if there is any way to put a delay for the disappearing phone call screen. Something like a 1 second delay to prevent accidental calls.
