Thank you for the video ! Which Makita metal chuck reference should I use for this machine? I would prefer a mono to a double ring one. Thx in advance !
I'm in the US & have this drill but it's called the XPH12. I noticed you fitted an accessory handle briefly during the test. Is that the same handle that comes with the XPH07/481 & does it fit the XPH12/484?
@@rudydevylder8890 Appreciate the response, ty. Most likely going to purchased this drill regardless, seems like it'll do the occasional light masonry work in a pinch, instead of lugging a SDS around.
Solo 650 rpm, poca velocidad. DHR171 is a shit. The best: - DHR182, brushless de bajo peso e increibles prestaciones. Saludos
I was originally thinking of going for the Metabo BS 18 Compact. On paper it has a higher torque. But now I'm leaning towards the Makita. Which one would you recommend?
all depends on what you want the tool to do, speaking on impact drivers i bought a dewalt because it has so much more torque than other brands, i was able to work faster because of it, but it burnt out after 1.5 years of use, im going with makita next as they apparently have better quality so it may last longer, I shall see but at the end of the day its what you want the tool to do ad if you can afford to buy a new one a year or 2 later once it breaks
Hello Cary!

Can you replace the chuck for a metal one?

It maybe. I have this 484 looking into getting the handle as well
Cary is da bomb! 😁👍👍👍👍👍😁✌🏻
Thank you George~~~~~
Thanks for the review. Now as the other commenters were asking, where can we buy the metal chuck?
we have some very good quality one here
Thank you ….. very very nice video :-)
Greetings from Italy
wonder how it performs on brick and concrete
I would say, it's doable but nothing fancy toward brick. Noway for concrete
Hi, very informative video, what could you say, this makita or dewalt dcd 796 ? Which is better in your eyes ?)
dewalt is stronger, more torque
@@musmanov4642 Also, much more vibration and cheap plastic.
Hello, Is there an original metal chuck for the DHP 484?
it can easily be replace by metal chuck once worn out
@@MASTERALLEY any idea what model?
@@rudydevylder8890 Did you find a metal chuck & if so, could you please link it, thank you.
@@JustinMurray170fin no, stopped looking after a while to be honest.

Hey Cary, I love your videos!
Could you review the Makita DHR171?
Thanks
let me try to get one and do review on it

Hello Master Alley, thank you for your helpful videos! Could you please tell me if the side handle from model 481 fits onto model 484?
dear Nisky, I am afraid it doesn't fit on 484 as there is no ring to fit the handle grip...
Hello sir I would like to ask u, which one is better makita dhp 480 or dhp 484?
484
hi cary, im torn between the bosch gsb 18v 60c and the makita dhp484. which do you think is a better drill?
I will choose 484 for sure. Only you need to change the chuck after a few months. Cost around 20.US. I have tried 60C....
hello! may i know where is your shop in hongkong?

HK$850 (Hong Kong Dollar) equals €97 (5th/July/'20)
Makitas rock!
DHP484 very good 👍⚡ The very very bad review 👎
