- Never be afraid to try something new.. this is something I preach all the time on the channel, and I'm honestly happy that this didn't work out perfectly because it gave me an opportunity to show you that I actually fail - just like everyone else! This wasn't a total fail, but for the time being - this TJ is on pause. I thought we could buy this salvaged jeep wrangler and upgrade it to the point where it was least running easily... It isn't all the time I buy a vehicle in such terrible shape, When we get back from our traveling to the Driven shows, we will get back to trying to make this thing run!

Reminds me of the old school days, I would love to see this get fixed up. But at the same time the amount of work you will do to fix it will make you want to keep it, so keep that in mind when you make your decision

That alternator is a 160 amp alternator from a 2002 Durango. It’s a popular upgrade for 4.0s. That connector is for the voltage regulator. Just cut the pigtail off of a Durango and match the wires up. Solids to solids and stripes to stripes.
I think there’s a lot of TJ lovers out there that would love this Jeep and would have it running and looking great in no time. I bought my 04 with a bent axle shaft, oil leak, coolant leak, bad clutch, blown shocks, terrible tires. They’re the best kind to get. You make it yours and you get to wrench on something easy.
The rust may be a bit much though.
As a Jeep owner, wait, as a TJ owner, no wait - as a Jeep TJ inline 6 owner - this broke my heart in 25 pieces lol
