Thanks for making a video on these f4 w4 transmissions. Last night I dropped the pan and valve body of my dsm w4a33 and one of the band clips on the band clutch fell out Lol. My problem was no 2nd or OD, still have 1st 3rd and reverse
Welcome. If you need valve body info it is in the rebuild video. If it does not have what you need let me know. th-cam.com/video/Ipb3iLc_tBA/w-d-xo.html
Hello! I have a TF71sc automatic transmission, the filter is not removable, is it worth it to remove the automatic transmission and disassemble it to replace the filter on a run of about 100 thousand km?
@@CurmudgeonTransmission is it better to change the oil more often, and not overheat the box, then will that be enough for its normal operation for 250+ thousand mileage?
There are alot of factors that go into how long a transmission will last, but regular maintainence is one of them. I would change it about every 20-30,000 miles.
Most of them I have done multiple times. Some I have done so many of that I might could do them in my sleep, lol. It's just the way my brain works, I guess.

Not unless you want to rebuild it. Not worth going through all that work just for a filter in my opinion.
