Hi Ricky! Even I had same thought like you. But none of these professional courses are gonna land you in any country you would like to shift. This is the hardcore truth. 1st reason is due to immigration policies and that's the main reason for your employer in another country also to chose home country candidate rather than an expatriate (you). 2nd reason is colour bar. it's purely an racist act but some countries do have colour bar. Only one way you can land up in your desired country is to go for studies and after completing studies you've to search job within the required time allowed by countries varies. Even in this also there's risk of securing a job within the timeframe. Only one way you can land up in any country is to work as blue collar worker.

I actually don't see much value to be honest. They cover different regions and in most cases either CMA or CIMA makes sense in that particular region. In the Middle East, both are popular but then you only need one in my opinion. Hope it helps!

Australia and UK have different accounting qualifications. If it's really hard to decide, ACCA is probably a better choice, but still it is not as good as a CA Australia or CPA Australia in my opinion. So I encourage that you pick a country first and then decide. In any case it's exciting move. All the best!

Hi John, if you are aiming for Australia and New Zealand, I would go for CPA Australia instead. My friends and my readers told me this is the most popular certification for management accountant. There is a CMA Australia but it's not as recognized. US CMA certification may or may not help... it adds more value if you work in a big US company in Australia for example. But the impact would be less than what you can have from the local certification.
There are 16 subjects/papers to pass the CIMA Exam! 4 each at the Certificate, Operational, Management & Strategic Levels = BA1, BA2, BA3, BA4, P1, E1, F1, OCS, P2, E2, F2, MCS, P3, E3, F3 & SCS!

No unfortunately CPA (US) and CMA (US) are also completely separate. CPA does have a partnership with CIMA which is the UK equivalent of CMA.

No Vishnu they are completely separate. In fact, there is no longer a CMA Canada. This has been merged into a new designation -- CPA Canada.

There is a mutual agreement with ICWAI, and also some exemptions for those who want to take the ACCA exam after getting the CMA certification.
