This has to be me of the nicest and most calming , yes calming, tutorials on pineapple block making! Most others I’ve watch have been rushed, makes a newbie anxious! ... plus, your wall hanging quilt in the background, I’m half way threw from one of your other tutorials 💙 and didn’t even know 😆.. thanks from a newbie!
What a great idea to make the blocks as soon as you finish the quilt. It saves cutting the pieces into usable sizes and has them put away for future use. Thanks Laura.
Months ago I bought everything needed to FPP and I messed up so badly I put everything in the closet so I wouldn’t have to look at it. Now I think I can, I think I can! Thanks for the best ever FPP tutorial.
Me too, Mischa, I bought the template and was so frustrated, quit trying. Laura makes it do-able, will try again for my daughter-in-law who asked me to make her some. Table runner first, lol!
It's called "scrapitous"(pronounced scrap-eye-tous) and many of us suffer from this terrible affliction! Thank goodness for people like you Laura who have found a cure for it with all these wonderful patterns!!
Love your tutorial! I dislike paper piecing but you sure made it look fun on this pineapple block. Thank you so much for your tutorials. You are very much appreciated!
Thank you Laura for your excellent tutorials, which I really look forward to. You teaching style is wonderful, so clear, easy to follow and understand.
I saw that the same shop also has the preprinted log cabin in both sizes. That would be fun too. Especially the smaller size, make it easier sewing the smaller pieces.
I am a fan. I have made many paper piecing projects, but you have taught me an easier method using the glue stick and the light box. I already use the add-a-square rulers. Your way is a game changer! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you so much Laura. You have explained very well with clarity step by step guide. Used to find it a daunting task to make quilts. You have made it so easy for newbies. Now I can try using your download pattern.
What a wonderful demo. You truly have a gift. And you are beautiful. Thank you for these videos. I am enjoying them so much, and learning such valuable techniques. Thank you.
I’ve never tried using paper piecing. Looks like fun and I do have a lot of scraps. I like the pineapple pattern too. Thanks for demonstrating this. I will definitely try it and that 1/4” ruler makes it look easy!
I love how clear your tutorial are and how easy you make it seem!!! I must try this block as I too have tons of scraps and love to do scrappy quilts. Thanks again!!
I'm working on a king sized FPP pineapple in 30s reproductions and muslin. Only 19 more blocks to make. I love the it's sew emma foundation paper. Next on my bucket list is the FPP log cabin in lap size.
Thank you for the great tutorial. I have always wanted to try this block but it looked to hard. Your instructions and tools made it a lot easier to understand.
Don't know what happened but that free 7 inch block does not print in a full page it's almost like a 18 inch so prints in quadrants no matter what I do?? The link for the FQS is the one dated Nov 13th when they were doing site maintenance? Disappointed!!
Not sure what is different on your end, but for me, I made sure to put the print scale on "fit to page". It is only 1 page and looks just like the one she held up on the screen.
@@chicmumma that's great, but not here, never thought to do fit to page, but usually you don't have to do that, it was printing just the quarter corner that filled the page

I have been subscribed to your channel for some time now. Lately though I am not getting your postings. Should this be something else we can blame on the virus?
You have a gift for providing such helpful instructions! Could you not use the glue stick for adding the rest of the pieces instead of pins? I'm not a fan of them, & try to avoid whenever possible, Lol! The pineapple and other paper piecing books are on sale right now for Black Friday!
Love your videos but to me on this one, the paper makes it more complicated than it needs to be. There's a tool, ruler, that makes these pineapple squares. Off the top of my head I can't think of the name of the company but I would never go the paper route. Too time consuming

The attached free 7" block pattern is numbered differently than your video example. i will follow your instructions instead !
It’s basically the Same. It just has A’s in front of the numbers. Just follow the numbers, and your block will be the same.
