Just found this video. We have always stayed at camp Hatteras and do love it there. I was doing a search for OBX campgrounds to see if anything else tickled our fancy but just can’t seem to find anything really comparable except maybe the KOA. So all that said, we will stay out at camp Hatteras. We finally decided last year to stay ocean front and got the second spot back on the right hand side. It was awesome for getting in the beach and making a short walk back for lunch or bathroom break but the sand was too much for me. This year in July we are staying a few spots back on the right hand side where there is a lot more grass. We absolutely love OBX and don’t foresee not going at least once a year for the foreseeable future. Great video and glad I found yas. Take care!!!

Any particular reason you didn't pull up a foot or so have all of your steps on the pad? Just wondering. Looks like there was room for that and the length of your truck unhooked.
We were mainly concerned about getting the truck to fit on the pad. We did end up having some room after all, but I didn’t want to hook back up again. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.

This is prob our favorite NC beach campground so far. And we’ve learned that the sound side is great, esp for the sunsets. We just drive over to the beach and have our beach fun. All of your critiques on ammunition are spot on also. And Camp Hatteras is on;y 1 of about 3 campgrounds on the OBX. Great review of this place.

Nice video! We actually stayed at the KOA and had a great experience. Our only issue was when it rained our site flooded, but we understand campgrounds don’t control the rain. We are looking forward to returning and staying here. The area is absolutely beautiful.

Camp Hatteras floods when it rains, too. But like you said, You’re stuck at the mercy of the weather.
Old video but there's so many better places to stay other than Camp Hatteras which in my experience is WAY overpriced and crowded.
The golf cart rentals are in the campgrounds?
Camp Hatteras has golf cart rentals.
You know.. a 44' trailer for 2 people is obnoxious. Could you even hear the waves at night over the drone of 400 air conditioners?
