Glad to see your taking it to You Tube. There’s some awesome people out there but in my mind it’s Gary Katz and you at the top. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to learning.
Oh, and please don't worry about the length of your videos. People look to TH-cam for help. Having the knowledge you do is hugely beneficial. So keep them long if need be. Again thank you
I really am impressed with your videos. Direct ,concise and informative. I've been doing carpentry for 20 years or so and have learned many tricks from you and Spencer at Insider carpentry. Although some of the methods differ all have fantastic results. Gotta love TH-cam ! Thanks.
I came over from IG to tune in to everything you do here. I love the way you explain things, and sharing your knowledge has helped me improve my work both as a diy guy on my own home and as a professional who is just getting started. Thanks for sharing your work and passion; it most definitely helps!
I've been following you on IG for awhile and like your videos very much. It's great to now see long form videos on youtube. No fancy editing, jump cuts, etc. , just straight forward and concise information. Nicely done!
I really enjoyed the video man thank you! I’m keeping up with the series. I’m myself a carpenter that does steel framing and drywall but I’ll love to learn more about finish carpentry. 👍🏻
I seldom do carpentry as I think it’s a dark art that should be practiced by masters…but I will admit to getting a little giddy when you post…it’s like watching a magic trick expose. I love knowing how it’s done, even if I’m never going to do it
So excited to see you finally on TH-cam! I've been following you on Instagram for a while now. Can't wait to see more of your videos and longer this time. Quick question, where are you located? Do you do any work in California?
Well, I am not him, but they are much lighter if you intend to move them around a lot (for the dewalt, the difference is about 16 lbs, I think). They take up less space, they are way cheaper. They also can have some deflection, especially as they start to wear out, which can reduce cut quality. I would never want to use a slider if I didn't actually need the cut capacity. The one thing that is nice about sliders though, is you can change the exact point of contact, which helps a lot for relieving baseboard so you can tuck it behind case (when I cut baseboard to sneak behind casing, I cut the entire bottom part away, and just have the top edge intact, the stuff you can actually see. This means I don't have to actually measure, I can just cut a generic "cutback" profile which is the same every time, and then use a utility knife to trim the top to thickness to fit snugly in the gap between the casing and the wall.
Definitely glad you started a TH-cam channel ‼️ You are one of a kind who will help out a lot of people and have a lot of subscribers very quickly. Followed you on IG for several years

Great videos, thank you!
Question, noticed your miter saw is not sliding, is that a preference thing or you don’t like sliding miter?
