Very moving rendition of this song. The verses "Seems like nothing's been achieved" and "Who can now look back with a sense of pride?" shows the feeling of regret and utter hopeless these soldiers faced in these moments. The fact they fought on despite this solely to protect civilians is very inspiring. It humanises the war on 'the other side', which is important when said side was clearly the one in the wrong. Shows that all nations of the world are just a bunch of humans who are very similar to one another at the end of the day, no matter how great or terrible our leaders are. It just makes me glad to born in an age where we can all be mates and have a laugh and a pint together, and not cross swords!
