Should watch the documentary Azorian. It's about an old CIA op about raising enemy sub from the deep in secret in front of the enemy. Amazing story and told well
I watched it live when Jason attached the line to Argos and it was intense! Never thought watching a robot unscrew something would be such a nail biting experience.
Im glad you got your ROV's back, Ive followed EVNautilus for almost 3 yeas now and have become quite invested in your window into ocean exploration for all to see(sea;))
The rescue mission is so wholesome. Its like 2 ROVs are lost and all their friends come and work together to save them! But i feel like the spider crabs are behind this, they’re there every dive… watching…
I was watching live as the video feed cut and was like "uh ohhh!"... Very cool to watch the recovery as well. Can't wait to see more as usual. Been watching for a while now. Even when it shows 10 viewers - one of my screens is usually one haha!
I remember when there was a smiley face painted on the new cable spool during testing. A happy cable would not be cut so clearly it had to be the connector.
That was a well done recovery. I hope you identify the root cause of the failure so you can prevent it from happening again. Please be carful that the fix you implement does not cause a new failure point.
Absolutely wonderful recovery, nothing short of amazingness and the absolute beautiful skill of the teams involved could have achieved it. Keep rocking!
Oh, well done crew. I enjoy this channel so much. I would have been gutted if this was the end of me being able to watch you explore the ocean and the life in it. I hope all goes well from now on.
It's quite neat we get to be part, in a very small way, of the whole adventure. Glad the vehicles are retrieved. (Also, why on Earth are there any 'thumbs down' on this video?)
Oogh, I missed that stream so I had no clue that happened. Glad you guys kept your cool and were able to retrieve your ROVs! I know that had to be nerve wracking.
Well done guys! Congrats to all involved! Thanks for making this video and for including the moment the detachment happened Will be joining you next week, once mapping expedition is over -shm
Ocean fans with robots: *goes on a rescue mission to recover a machine from two kilometres under the surface of the ocean, cuz like it’d be pretty sad if they didn’t* Space fans with robots: okay so we’re sending you into the interstellar void from which you will never return, you’re fine with that right? okaybye have a great time!
It's pretty amazing that we can lose 2 rov's on the bottom and get them back. Great job, everyone!
Should be more careful in the future.
@@writeordie5452 I'm sure they didn't think of that. Thanks for your help.

It was like loosing a couple of friends and then finding them again. So many emotions! Wow! Great teamwork!

I see that the genius tactic of "just tape a knife to it" has been used
ducttape(&WD40 i guess), the biggest archivements of mankind 😏
Someone (Ben T.) grew up watching MacGyver!!

By far the most nerve racking but then inspiring stories I've had the privilege of watching in these past years of dives! Well done to all!

Have they ever done a video of "A day in a life" of the EVNautilus team? Like a tour of the boat, where they sleep, eating their meals etc?

Bravo!! Great teamwork 💖
Em 2006 , conheci pessoalmente o Hércules e Argus , fantásticos equipamentos !

tu tes fais payer combien?
payer pour ?
Wild that you're wearing masks around people inside a ship you all are living on.
Science.
Was just about to comment on that. This perfectly shows how far the government narratives reach. Very sad.
Pretty irresponsible using an emergency flair as a celebratory device in the open ocean!
Why is that?
First
awsome 💙
