Intrigued by the details of the Octane plugin for Houdini, when and where can I find out about them?
Both Solaris and regular versions are available and updated regularly, we’re just trying to make it even better. We’re making a complex project that involves all our previous experiences but using octane - the pipeline is figured out and working, but it’ll be another several months before the project is live and I’ll be making content around all the “how to”s )

That could be great but logistics of such interactions are hard. Next time. I'm on Nuke, so would genuinely be curious to chat about certain things
@@AndreyLebrov wait, did you switch to Nuke? You were one of my inspirations to use Fusion.
At some point in shot production, complexity requires the shot to be split in elements. To properly combine them, you need auxiliary stuff done in post. It’s another level, not just Z pass :) and that is where Deep data can help. Coincidentally, that’s also one thing Fusion completely lacks in :( a few little tools, do indeed force us to pay enormous money for Nuke.
With that being said, I will be switching back to fusion in the foreseeable future for personal projects just to see how we can compensate the lack of mentioned tools.
@@AndreyLebrov Yeah, the EXR workflow in Nuke does feel a more complete and more powerful than Fusion, and lack of deep support is something that can be problematic for high-end productions. Which why I was curious to hear maybe, just like octane and c4d, maybe you had some chats with BMD CEO about fusion's future in VFX and if it will ever get those stuff that people have been asking for. But looking forward to those videos as in the future as well.

How did you handle the news of Clarisse's death, what did you decide? Do you want to completely switch to Houdini or will you still use the latest version of Clarisse?
It was very sad, we developed a whole pipeline around it, with custom scripts and tools. I planned to come back to TH-cam with tons of Clarisse content and freebies.
After it went bust we were evaluating Katana as potential alternative, but it didn’t suit our production type. Ended up switching full time Houdini. Solaris is Katana and Clarisse combined really. Very happy with the decision, I’ve been trying to switch for years ))
