Probably, I am more rich than her hubby (government official) while I have my own company, she can't fully know about my financial status. However, he has post PhD research in his CV, while I went straight to entreprenuership after getting my PhD.

That's exactly what it is. I quit dating in my late 40s because all I found were bitter women with a lifetime's worth of bad decisions haunting them. Almost every one I met was a renter still, had nothing saved for retirement, and had low skilled jobs, barely above minimum wage.
There are quality women out there, the only problem is they are married to other men and not available. At 53 now, there's no way I'd put a lifetime's worth of saving, sacrificing, and retirement at risk. I plan to retire early, between 55-60 depending on if I'm still having fun in my work. I'm planning on a retirement with an RV to camp and fish whenever I please and a convertible to enjoy when I just want to get away for the day. I've been planning for it since I was 25 and worked extra hard toward that goal when I had to start over from divorce in my late 20s.
There is absolutely nothing that can temp me to put any of those plans at risk today.

My ex-wife was so happy with her new man when I kicked her out for cheating. Then one day during the divorce she called and heard a woman's voice in the background and was never her smug self again, her focus went to what and who I was doing, and get this, that I was cheating on her. Some of my women friends led my ex-wife to believe I was living the f-boy lifestyle after we split up, just messing with her. It affected my ex in a big way though. I saw her six months later for some divorce business and she had gained at least 20lbs, cut her long beautiful hair and now looked like a boy, and had dark circles under her eyes. She practically broke down when I voiced my observations to her. She couldn't hide how miserable she was.
The best part was there was no effort from me to make her miserable, her imagination and seeing me happy did all the work.
My ex is now a drug addicted workaholic. She has no personal life. My sons despise her.

I'm 33 I learned at a young age women only look at you as a wallet. I grew up with a single mother and even she would drill that in my head. She's from thailand and she always says American women are the most greedy.

I said never! If I end up alone for some reason, there's no way I'd want to go through dating again. Especially at my age! (I'm 60) I'm done with it all.
If I become single now, I'd have a friend or two move in to split costs. I'd travel. I'd spend more time on my hobbies. I'd probably start some new hobbies. But I don't think I'd ever want to date or get into another relationship.

The biggest problem for many women in their 50's is that most of the guys they can have are just like their ex husband...broke because they are paying someone else.
That's kind of funny, they created the guys they complain about not being good enough. The universe really does balance things out.
I've come to realize that when a woman hits 50s, she's going through a change of life, they turned into insane individuals. They make terrible decisions, all of a sudden they're starting to dress like Teenage girls. It's appalling! They'll leave their husbands, take everything the husband owns, and they're still unhappy. Later, they blame men for everything and anything especially their ex-husband's who they fleeced, and committed adultery on. The civil courts need to stop catering to these type of women and their divorce claims that they deserve half or two thirds of a man's property, or even a evict a man from his own home that he owned before he met the wife.

I think it was $500 or something. This was around 10 years ago, too, so things were cheaper than today. Just blew my mind. I think military men really need to wake up to the reality that getting married, while on active duty, is a recipe for disaster. The separation is challenging enough, but the motives of a lot of these women are dubious, to say the least.
50+ women, it's so hard dating because at your age you should be providing a family foundation for your children and grandchildren, enjoying your long term marriage/relationship and helping family to have a better life.
34 years ago when I divorced the single mom (Yeah, I know now) that I wasted 3 miserable years with, she went back to what she was when I found her: Broke, bad credit, living in a dump, and depending on money from her parents to survive. She had the gall to call me and ask for money. I told her we were through and this was her problem, so don't ever call me again.
