Its still weird to see these small boats (with definetly less AA guns mounted) outperform BBs when it comes to AA

@@PrintScreen. Halland beats her AA at least based on my CV experience (Also BBs suffer a lot more through the HE meta atm like a Thunderer can take 60% of your AA with one salvo)
It frustrated me to no end when trying to learn CVs, and I'd strike a pair of battleships covered in guns and get away with it, only to attack a single, lone destroyer next and have the entire squadron wiped out before getting any meaningful attack away. It just doesn't make any sense.

The only reason why I've been spamming Audacious lately is cuz of these new DDs pushing out BBs in NA games. Literally 2 BBs every game
ReimuBakarei after all updates it happens where one class gets countered by the new ships, it will probably stop when people start to realize the EU dds aren’t for them ( a lot of people just play for the sake of them being new)

Faced off against 3 Hallands and a Smaland in my Audacious the other day. It was...unpleasant. Even when you thought you'd avoided them one of the buggers would be about to nail you with AA out of nowhere. The line looks really good.
Plikky Dee the halland is amazingly fun to play and yes it’s a strong AA dd and if there are three then it’s hard to avoid, but to be fair a cv can deal with one halland, and the lower tier EU don’t really excite me much and playing these dds is like playing a mino, mis position and ur dead but if you get in a good spot then yeah, it’s good
you can try to use division with TX CV, so it will be 100% CV rate

The oster isn’t that strong AA dd and halland isn’t invulnerable either and there are players that can mess up any ship, no matter how broken, I’ve had people complain in chat about Smolensk when they get blabbed
Yeah, maybe Just maybe because of is an Team Game and you will still ne spotted by CV's ans when there ist a Smoshit or Venezia nearby... You are just dead, without any counterplay. Honestly all my complains about CV's are the spotting mechanic.

WG should prioritice urgent balance to AA
Even if these are just bot CVs, its 3 of them. He still wrecked them. Here we are a year later and nothings changed except rocket planes have been nerfed into the ground compared to whats in this video. That means an incredible advantage has been given to all DDs since the making of this video. “AA does nothing”
This is ridiculous, she downed entire bomber squadron full 3 HP, they didn't even get a chance to drop a single bomb. 3 squadrons were shot down at the same time, I can't believe this. What happens when there are 2 DD like this in a match, CVs have no chance to attack. Wg went on to create fantasy Soviet ships with absolute power. and now DDs with the utterly devastating capabilities in the air. It's time to think about finding another game like war thunder to replace Wows. It's painful that I spent a lot of money on this game, and now have to think about stopping playing it in anger.

Yeah in random it is a bit more balans than this. But still, a good DD can be difficult to play against as a CV.

The most horrible battly I've ever had was in my Somers against two CVs.
Also a question for the CV-players: Do you rather want to get rid of Hållands and Smållands early in the match or would you just let them be?

The problem of this kind of AA test with bots is that they fly straight into your flaks eating them all, I dont think they are capable of dodge flaks at all. You should try this vs one other player for a more "realistic" result.

@@rhysedwards3713 I stand corrected. didn't know of the 2x120mm AA, nor did I see the flak clouds because they were sparse. This is what I get for not checking, thought it was all lower calibers
5:36 look at that Haku's plane being so close the the Halland only to despawn. Not something you sea everyday. Also, has anyone tried dropping torps as bombs so u release them right above a ship and can't we just angle aa guns so they shoot at ships?
Nerf those OP CVs! No one should want to play cvs! Now on ru server seeing CV that isn't T4 or very rare T6 is like seeing big foot. Complainers won, cvs are now as rare as before rework, finally high PR players can go back to uninterrupted farming in their dds. Just a little bit more of radar complaining.

Basically, the Holland and the like are a no fly zone. As a CV main myself, I hate seeing certain ships this one. Oh how I loath the no fly zone ships.
Yesterday I was out with a Shokaku. Enemy Halland and Kita push over flank. Teammate: Hey, Shoka, are you blind. Attack the DDs. Me:Lol, what do you think happens to my planes when I attack Halland and Kita? There was no reaction from the teammate. You don't even have time to spot. AA is only reappointed when you are very close. Of course I would have to stop the DDs. I know that. But I also know that I don't even have to try.
In fact stopping these euro DDs is the work of other DDs and CLs, not the CV.
Esau Alfaro exactly mate, any gunboat dd or hydro/radar cruiser can deal with it, even hybrids can deal with these if they don’t let them heal

I'm not so sure what to think about this. Halland's AA looks so strong it's interesting to see it even in Random battle, but having basically the same AA as my Minotaur with 100% AA build seems a bit unbalanced to me.
Hiple the problem of halland is that it’s low HP pool still makes it very vulnerable against a cv, he takes half your health in one strike and if his team mates get a bit of damage in you are probably done, you also have no smoke to hide in and yes you have a heal but that’s useless if you are dead, just avoid halland and let your team deal with it
BB and CL/CA needs to be buffed for true balance then

Yes, hes showing of a DD but my point is that most of the complaints I see about AA being weak (particularly DFAA) because they expect carrier players to no joke, fly into the flak every damn time.

This test is pointless Bot CVs do not have skills or upgrades and will fly straight into the flak if he really wants to really test this the right way he should get real players in the CVs.

Also, I managed to find a game in my haku against a halland. I can confirm for you, if you'd like, that even without DFAA, halland is very strong. Not friesland as I am capable of still getting an attack run without losing the squadron, but still very strong.
That kind of people that complain about a AA system were they have to do nothing a just press a button for free damage and increased damage

I think you need to find players that have T-10 CVs as the bots do not have the Mods, skills and upgraded planes. You wont be fighting stock planes in pvp
Only problem is bots potato into flak unfortunately otherwise it would be much more reliable.

Taking on 3 T-10 aircraft carriers with the T-10 DD Halland was a bridge too far. That being said, based upon the performance of the Halland in this game, I think that the Halland could take on 2 of these T-10 carriers and win.
Well he did three of them to show its effectiveness since there bots they general use stock mods so have 3X the planes better illustrate its power vs an actual person with t10 planes
They keep nerfing the CV's and buffing the AA. Even now the DD's are getting OP AA.. fun playing with CV's is getting harder. I'm afraid the end is near
Well these DDs were supposed to be AA monsters, so WG did well there. But that fact that people still complain about AA being useless without actually building for it. That's stupidity there

@@liamjosefsson3841 AA without them being specialised is just a self defense tool that allows you to mitigate some damage and that is how it should be. Just like how BBs specialise in survivability and fire prevention to mitigate fire damage. Is it bad balancing of fires too? Because it's pretty much mandatory to run a survivability build to love through her HE spam.
And also, idk which ships you use. My Cleveland, Minotaur and Worcester all pretty much destroy planes. Heck, even my Fletcher does, so I don't know what you are doing wrong.

That AA seems a bit extreme, but bots typically don't have upgrades or captain skills so its not 100 percent accurate to what to expect in randoms.

Keep in mind he's running the 3 million AA module and a full AA build, something no one in randoms would honestly ever run because the 3 million secondary and AA module is a meme. Anyone with any sense is gonna run torp reload or maybe gun reload in the 3rd slot because it isnt worth it gimping your effectiveness against every other ship class to full counter carriers.
I’ve played about 15 matches of halland yesterday and even a few divisions with another halland and I can tell you that if you play this ship properly the carrier can only get one strike on you before you erase the squadron, my only skill that benefits AA was BFT and you can shred planes, if you are in a division with another halland CV has no chance lmao
The AA is better than a cruiser... Especialy the flak...

ahh so this is how WG balance tests CV's and comes to the conclusion CV's need buffs and AA needs nerfs.... explains a lot.
if only they would ask the playerbase, or even give a side-look to what people are saying and experiencing.... CV's wouldn't be so OP and hated so much.

How did you lock your guns on target??
right click
Holding right click procs the free camera, which makes your guns not move at all. Using free camera + auto locking on a target will make your guns follow the target.
Technically it's "X", not "right click". "Rick clicking" just activates the free-look so you can observe other things in your surroundings while you are shooting. And even more technically, you need to hold the right mouse button down the entire time, not just click it.

It is on most other ships though. It's only effective if the ship already has great AA.

細菌 Yes, You have a right... Nowadays CV’s are only for high skilled players. No fun, No chance to have good dmg, only spotting all game... Especially these EU dd’s with stupidly insane AA crash fun of play CV
GZ isn’t good enough, you need a t10 cv cause of HP problems, and since EU dds play wide most of the time you should not have too much problems avoiding them, i think it’s the reason why they have good AA so they can play on their own and flank since it’s a pretty bad cap contested compared to its counterparts

柳驰 Any decent EU dd player won’t get into GZ secondary range and hunting a CV at t8 is really not that common unless it’s late game

Its fucking disbalens becose even battleships haven't so good AA and you now when i was in battle on KAGA... In 5 seconds i lost all planes in the first group and its fucking crazy WG they know how to make game disgusting
AA build is kinda bad with this current meta, i mean even with decent AA stats it doesn't guarante shooting down alot of planes

For real tho, my Montana and Iowa used to shred every plane that wanted to take a closer look, now im happy if i shoot down at least some planes of one suqad. AA builds just have become obsolete

bots are horrible hp, no matter how good your AA is, if you catch an enemy hp that plays the same way you play (VERY WELL) there is no AA that works miracles

"CLs" guess what, "CLs" can come from many different countries with different armaments. There's no rule that CLs must have good AA and DDs bad AA.

@@brycedsilva1142 Audacious rockets are actually pretty good, I can consistently kill EU dds with them. Deals about 1/2 of their hp in one pass and they cant prevent it.
Although it does cost quite a few more planes than a normal DD
