- For this episode of Test Drive (Season 2) Fall edition, we continue the series with a classic performance shortboard model from Lost Surfboards, the "Pocket Rocket". The "Pocket Rocket" has become a staple in the Lost line and in the boardroom at Sunrise.
Watch Garrett put the "Pocket Rocket" to the test in clean 3-4ft. Hurricane Maria swell. The Lost "Pocket Rocket" is available in the "pro" and "bro" dimensions by Lost and is now available in Lost's "Performance series". For more information on the "Pocket Rocket" and how to order one please send us an email at testdrivesunrise@gmail.com
Note: Surfer/Reviewer is 5'10 and weighs 160 lbs.

Not sure if you are still reviewing boards but your contributions were some of the most down to earth on the planet :) I am considering getting a Pyzel 'Radius' of a Lost 'Pocket Rocket.' Have you surfed both of these boards? Any chance of offering some insight? The Radius has a wide point 2 inches back from center and the Pocket Rocket has a wide point at the very centre. My interest is in how they both paddle, what their 'get up and go' is like out of turns or flat sections, and how responsive they are to manoeuvre while holding their line? Cheers
I had this board in the round tail 6’0” Pro-dimensions and can say it’s a really great board. I just picked it up in the carbon wrap squash tail and am looking to compare the feel of EPS to my standard PU board. However I did snap the nose off the board in good surf but had it fixed. Still works great. I use the Julian Wilson fins and has a great hold to release for this board. Not sure if those CI fins he is using really suit that board. I would try performance fins or John John Florence fins in it.
I use the CI fins in almost all my boards, they work great for me as an all around fin. Everybody is different though, I have tried the Julians in multiple boards and that fin does not work for me whatsoever. Different strokes for different folks! Thanks for your input man, its greatly appreciated!!
That board looks perfect for Florida on the good days. Cool video
Rocket is better for average florida juice. That is if your not a one trick rider. Then yes.
3 years no new vids? Uh oh
Some guys say that the Pocket-Rocket turn much better than the "Driver", and it's better in all ways...but i see Griffion just ripping with driver. wonder wich one is the next flagship ? the best one
Funny you say that because the Driver has always been a great seller for us and people love it. In my opinion the Pocket Rocket is more user friendly for the average surfer such as myself. For a person on Griffins level of performance the Driver might be a little sharper and snappier but once again, your talking about one of the best- if not the best- 17 year old surfers alive. Honestly if you are looking for a good shortboard for good waves you can't go wrong with either but for me i lean towards the pocket rocket a little more. Thanks for watching review and commenting!
could you do a review on the sharpeye surfboards ok model
don't think that one will make it in the rotation but i can tell you a good majority of our team guys order those, especially the younger groms, and love them as a high performance shortboard for good waves. The key being GOOD waves, not an ideal board for average conditions or junky surf. Hope that helps! thanks for watching reviews
You should do a test drive on chilli surfboards black vulture
missing this series
Thank you so much!! Tore my MCL so have been out of the water for a couple months and right before that our amazing filmer/editor had his second child so timing has been tough. Just got back in the water and getting some new boards from 2018 ready for some new episodes. Thanks for the support and stay tuned

SQUASH IT is so much better. This doesn’t ride like the rocket but this does have the tail of the squash it which is where the dream is.
looked too long you surf better on the shorter boards
Thanks for input, and thanks for watching reviews! Cheers
