Ich bin 41 jahre alt und Neueinsteiger seit 2016 und die Racer trifft mich mitten ins Herz. So und nicht anders muss ein Motorrad ausschauen! Mit Speichenrädern und Doppelsitzbank ist sie für mich perfekt.

I just bought a 2020 R9t Racer...and I love it!
I’m on the fence. I really want one. But I don’t like spending my money. I have a cruiser for comfortable long distance ride. So taking that type of riding out what are the bad things about this bike?
I simply love the looks of the racer. The fairing, the colors and the modern technic. Extremely nice bike!

I love my RNineT Racer.
Absolutely beautiful to look at, sounds fantastic with a reliable tried and tested engine that is so familiar.
I will however tackle the handling, by raising the rear, dropping the front and looking at some of the old Boxer Cup specs.
One bike I would never let go.
Shame they did not sell and only now are being recognised for the beauties they are.
You did it BMW. This is an absolute timeless design, beautiful in nearly every way. I eagerly await my first chance to ride one.

@Andy S no, I did not purchase one. I did ride it however and loved every second. I couldn't swing purchasing a 3rd motorcycle at the time.

Ich mag die neuen BMW Motorradmodelle eigentlich überhaupt nicht, aber das Ding hat mich komplett aus den Socken gehauen!! Wenn mal 'ne Mark über ist, wird man dieses Schmuckstück auf jeden Fall in meiner Garage wiederfinden. Ganz großes Kino BMW!!!

Ein irres Bike. Ich habe gerade gestern erst meine nineT Scrambler bei Bögel bestellt und bin einfach nur hin und weg, wieviel Mühe sich BMW gibt, um endlich auch jüngere Geschmäcker zu treffen. Diese Racer passt sehr gut in die nineT Reihe. Die nächste Saison wird kommen :-)
Danke und ich bin mir sicher, du wirst nicht enttäuscht. Der Scrambler ist n' saug... Boxer.

This Nine T racer, XJR 1300, Thruxton R racers are my favorite for a cafe racer, the cheapest is the Yamaha without worries of electronic failures by BMW, but it is certainly the most striking, attractive and sure that will always have fans Wherever you go with it.

Love the way that the engine sits on bmw's,but triumph thruxton r is way neater and clean.respect for both brands
I just got one of these in NJ. BMW is discounting these as high as $2000 off MSRP, I got a great deal. The riding position is not bad on the arms or legs, the worst part is your neck and line of sight. Your neck is at a constant cant upward at the road. It's only a weekend rider, not an everyday Bike, you;ll be in pain for a Month if you ride this every day.
Are the upside down forks and aluminum tank going to be available for this bike in the options list?

The first thing I will modify is to remove the original mirrors... All the other things are fine...
How tall is the guy that's riding the bike? The riding position he's in looks horribly uncomfortable.
Also I hope there will be other color options as I don't like the stripes on the white.
Hi John, there will be no other color options available when we launch the bike. This bike is a classic racer, which is the reason for the seating position. However we suggest to take a test ride when the bike is available to find out if the bike fits you or not.

I don't think its a guy John by the size it looks more like a trained chimp. Either that or the bike is actually the size of a GS Adventure. It dose look great though could have been tempted myself but my old body woudn't put up with the riding possition for more than ten miles . I'll have to stick with my GSA
Maybe this bike would be better suited to people under 6' tall, like me :D
I would really like this bike it's love in first sight but guess what? No dealership where I live. I have another boxer at home but now living away from home in Minsk/Belarus even though it's a capital no dealers. It's almost 2017 goddammit.

Very appealing bike BUtT the whole package is destroyed by the 1878 suspension. Why skimp on the most important art of the machine?

Ein wunderschönes Bike und auch der Preis ist ok. Aber wenn man auf dem Ding sitzt (was man auf der Intermot konnte), dann ist das doch sehr extrem - man liegt eigentlich mehr drauf. Für viele, die bei dem Anblick der Racer feuchte Augen bekommen, könnte das ein k.o.-Kriterium sein...
Hallo Toni, ich habe selbst noch nicht drauf gesessen. Vom Aussehen her bin ich super angetan. Es kommt halt immer auch ein bisschen darauf an, zu welchen Anlässen du fährst und dazu bieten sich für den Racer doch einige.

Hallo Jörg, ich könnte mir sogar vorstellen, dass es mit einer Fußrastenanlage, die ein paar Zentimeter weiter vorne ist, etwas leichter ginge, ohne die Linie des Bikes zu zerstören. Aber vielleicht bin ich auch nur etwas lasch geworden - superschön ist sie sowieso. Und ehrlich: Nachdem ich bei der normalen R nine T mit 15 T Euro rechne und eine Triumph Thruxton R mit Verkleidung auf 16 bis 17 kommen kann, hatte ich von der Racer auch eher mit 16 bis sogar 18 gerechnet....der jetzt aufgerufene Preis (um die 13, wenn ich recht sehe ?) war für mich eine total positive Überraschung - Viele Grüße

I like the look of the bike, the cafe racer type. But not the boxer engine. It's freaking ugly!! Look like it going to scrape on the road.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Build another R1200S for those who want a racy boxer. I have had to BMWs since my R1200S and a more up spec boxer is what I want, not this cheap bad of dud compromises. This with its crap front end suspension, non standard TC and pillion issues, seriously. Why bother. BMW! Don't pretend you have the style thing sorted with the boxers, they still look awkward. A more modern version of this would have used cafe as the reference and been cool, this is just another try hard bike on a market full of pastiche rubbish.

Kinda cool. Pipes from R1200S, bulky ugly. Why not HP2 pipes if using up old stock. Mirrors fail, rear cowel win. Fairing win, wheels fair. M/// colours WIN. Conclusion, Meh
They had to use this exhaust because of the new laws in Europe for emissions, that's whey he said it's a bike to be customized basically, along with the whole line of RnineT's. *)
