I have 27, Im from Argentina. And i had the best memories playing all the monkey island franchise. This was my first pc game ever when i was 6yo, The curse of monkey island. And the soundtrack, this ambience song in specific... Its magic for my ears.
I'm damn near 40 with kids, a wife, and a mortgage. There's civil unrest in the streets over injustice. There's a pandemic that's raging across our nation. These ambient slices of a happier time are doing me so much good. Thanks for this.
I'm playing CMI with my boyfriend in lockdown, he's never played it. Revisiting this childhood favorite feels so soothing in 2020. Your kids old enough to play it? Maybe revisit the game :) its on Steam, really cheap.
Same situation basically except I'm a couple years older. Shits crazy right now but the one thing we can count on is playing the right game will take your mind off all the craziness, even if only temporarily......and transport you to a time when things were much simpler. Trust me, I get made fun of, well poked at in a fun manner, for being in my 40s and still very much being into games. Well we are talking an hour or 2 a day tops, some days I don't get the chance to, but hey if it makes me happy I really don't see the harm. I get to be an adult 99% of the day, I should be able to put that on hold for a few minutes and just enjoy and relax, forget about all my problems and obligations. The bills get paid for, I fix whatever needs fixing, I spend time with my kids, I help them as best I can with whatever they need. I think it's OK to play a good game, Monkey Island for example, makes me feel good every single time I do.
I use this tune every single night when I go to sleep, while I think about Goodsoup mysteries and I imagine myself roaming the island in the night.every time my brain generate random adventures until I fall asleep ❤
Stuck on a railroad because a lightning storm has destroyed the rail ahead of me but sitting in the dark and listening to this while lightning roiled around in the night was oddly comforting. So glad I had this video saved offline. :)
Thank you so much for this. I remembered about this beautiful tune and searched for it only to find you made a 1 hour version of it, it seems I'm not the only one in love with this game and its music, and the warm memories of a better time. You brought me to the verge of tears. Thank you
Thanks to listening! Already done downstairs fortunately! More on the way. Full playlist is here: th-cam.com/play/PL88wAQ0nIoZ1odTc2uA_7zMOhsu3vpc_h.html
@@buzzmoorc I might be blind, but can't seem to find the downstairs bar in the playlist? Only outside (which I've had on loop whilst working for weeks now.. ).

@@oliverscarlin I had my 5 year old aim the cannon and sink the boats at the start of the game.
Back to a simpler time when I was mixing lethal drinks and rising from the dead
The riots were about nothing, just a load of bored kids brainwashed by the left wing media.

this music just *perfectly* expresses this ancient family with their melancholy memories in their crumbling old house.
I can just hear Griswold regailing me with tales of his family's history

This game is a masterpiece in ambience and atmospheres. and it was only 1997.
Exactly. Still not sure how they managed to do it...!
@@buzzmoorc You know Lucas has great experiences.
Costed them a lot I reckon. That's why the later versions' aren't really worked on like this one. They've cut so much costs.
wait wasn't ambience and atmosphere more common in the past rather then today? Isn't things more quick and fast pased these days.

This was one of my favourite soundtracks in MI3, I used to sometimes just stand in the hall and let this play. Really relaxing vibes.
Untoppable art of a video game.

The warm memories of a better time. May we someday create a world like these days for the sake of all
Looking at the portraits of the Goodsoup family while this was playing. Definitely one of the best songs of the game!
Gigantic nostalgia
its soo good and meditating
I wanna stay there for vacation 😃
I could live in this game
Ah, yes, definitely my favorite game.
Thank you! I wish to be a owner of an hotel like the Goodsoup!
What's about an ambience downstairs in the bar room but WITH guest 😊❤
comfiest place in the game
I’ll live here one day!
This part of the game always used to give me "Titanic vibes". The soft, breathy flute really sells it.
the hotel reeks of death and the macabre. Im home.
I could listen to this game’s music all day, and I have before.
possibly my favourite game as a young boy
Definitely mine!
@@buzzmoorc Hey that's me!
Shhhh.. thanks

I used to listen to this soundtrack while I was studying in college.
Me too! And I decided to start recording these tracks so that I could more easily play them in the background, that’s how this whole channel started 😁
These are so good! Thanks for making them. Any plans to make the Goodsoup bar as well?

anyone knows which instrument is playing the main melody? is it a steel drum or a handpan?
Not an expert by any means, but these sound like steel drums to me. They have a more bright tone.
nice

The blondebeard restaurant in Plunder Island...
Way ahead of you! ^_^

@Furfag McDeer Oh is that when Guybrush Threepwood got stuck in the ship in the beginning of the game? And he was in LeChuck's treasure room?
