This encounter between these two changed me. I am a Christian already. But there was something about the exchange between them...my heart burned as I listened to them. I felt like I was literally watching the Word become flesh between these two. So awesome.
I feel. The holy spirit was so present in this convo. It made me feel some kind of way. Steven is like a modern day Paul the Apostle. I think its his ability to continually submit to the will of God and to speak from a place of complete trust. Like if he thought God wanted him to say something, he would submit to God any embarrassment from sounding stupid and just speak without any insecurity. Super good example of what it means to follow Jesus
STEVEN FURTICK!!!!!!! I'm sitting here in the library (where I should be studying Anatomy and Physiology) watching this short film and I'm grateful. I'm grateful for your ministry and for the calling on your life. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!!. Just so much truth, WORD, inspiration and authenticity. I pray that God continues to bless you, your family and your ministry.
I am currently enrolled in graduate school for counseling and I shared this video with my professor. She enjoyed it so much as it applies to what we have been discussing regarding multicultural counseling that she posted it for each of her classes to preview. I could not have been more proud of my pastor for stepping out of his corner!
I like when asked, by S/F"would you go through that again? Your kids?" But Charl. says "no, I went through that, so my kids wont have to." Jesus died took our sins, so we dont have to go through that.🤔☺ its amazing how much we may think differently especially when it comes to our children. This was such a good lesson! We judge before we know a person, but God, the Father wouldnt want it that way. Its about relationships- connecting with others we offend overlook- Thank you, Pastor Steven- glory to God. ❤
The gospel of Jesus Christ is intimidating to people and people will be offended but the goal is not the change people it’s to share the news and truth of God. It’s not about changing people but having dialogue and challenging thoughts. It is the holy spirits conviction to work through the heart of the person or people.
"People are listening with the intent to reply and not the intent to understand"....pretty much the reason for majority of arguments and fights between family members, spouses, and people of different color or from different parts of the world.
I've ARRIVED because now I know what it feels like to be a man. I'm glad I answered God when he tapped me on my shoulder. Thank you for sharing this video with us Pastor Steven it was life changing.
I just love the wisdom that God has given Pastor Steven. He just knows how to preach the word, even when he isn’t preaching. I hope you never change, and you continue to let God lead you in, everything you do. I truly admire your ministry, I wish there were more Pastors like you. Is too bad I am so far from Elevation Church, but I watched you and listen to your messages all the time. I love how you always preach the word, just how it is. You are true men of God! God bless you and your family Pastor Steven! 🙌
Amazing and deep, genuine heart warming video! Love the coming together of a white Christian pastor and black non Christian radio personality with deep discussion and finding similarity in their differences🙌🏼🧡🧡🧡
What a beautiful conversation between two men of different background yet successful in their calling. Praise God and His glory for breaking down the racial conflict in this nation. For Pastor Furtick and Charlamagne to come together and have an open discussion about race and bullying, it is very powerful and all credit is due to God. It is a miracle.
Driven 4 Purpose This was my favorite part too. I just love the wisdom that God has given Pastor Steven. He just knows how to preach the word, even when he isn’t preaching. I hope you never change, and you continue to let God lead you in everything you do. I truly admire your ministry, I wish there were more Pastors like you. Is too bad I am so far from Elevation Church. God bless you and your family Pastor Steven! 🙌
Wow. Watching all the way from South Africa; inspired and moved to emotion and really thinking about my purpose. Two great men who come from nothing, across racial lines committed to and successful in the call that's on their lives: service! Jesus is haaaaard at work in the world! We thank You Lord. #Goosebumps
Watching two men come together sharing their past and getting to the cross road and end up making the decision to except God . This message is awesome . I thank God for letting this cross my past ... It's about life if we'll listen
Something that hit me hard was when Steve said.. " The only evil im worried about is mine, I dont trust myself".I Can see why we need to be so close to GOD sometimes cuz he reminds Us who we really are when all that evil inside us tell us otherwise. The far you are the harder it is to see ourselves through all our failures and wickedness. If a Pastor like Him is aware of his humanity. Why im so hard on myself.. I got to find out this is the same reason i stay close.. I dont trust myself with my Life.. I placed it on GOD hands cuz i really mess it all up when i take charge.
Ohh I cried .. I am black Christian born again , I don’t care how much Steven is white I love love him to bits beside he is my brother in Christ we share the same father .. I am so glad u did this video which I am ganna share this with my white and black friends let every one understand that LOVE 💕 wins
I completely understand what it's like to go back to somewhere your grew up a little bit and the people you love there whether is your grandparents or your parents aren't there any more every time you go there to try to feel better it's hard because that used to be so much of life and now it's just dead even the trees around the place Dead everything and I think that's a hard lesson of life that you just have to keep going you have to take something good from something and take it with you and keep going keep fighting
I've waited 7 years for this too happen. I was trying to figure out of you knew each other. Listening to Charlamagne since 2000 and being baptised at elevation in 2011, I wanted to show how people can grow to be major from minor areas. I'm from Williamsburg County!
Such great coversation!!! Two young men who truly cherish helping others and serving God without succumbing to the pitalls of fame. While most people are used to hearing Charlemagne on air or Steve preaching from the pulpit this gave a different setting and way of experiencing these two. Awesome short film!!! Thank you both.
"people are listening with the intent to reply not to understand" Charlamagne..One of the most profound quotes I have heard in a long time. So true.So true. So true. It applies to ALL uncomfortable discussions between people not just race.
I don’t agree with that. Don’t bring Christ into the world. At least from the standpoint of compromising and living in a manner that goes against the will of God. The breakfast club is not the platform to preach Christ.
I thank God for his divine direction and for this video. It's helping me better understand how life's events have and are shaping my spiritual growth. May God continue to bless you both abundantly.
What a blessing, God's doing Great things in his people, its not always with in the 4 walls of the church building, its always in the heart of man. God want to be your best friend and companion in all the areas of your life, I'm so thankful that I'm on the wonderful but difficult journey with Jesus. He well never leave us or forsake us! I'm so thankful for Steven Furtick reaching beyond the boundaries of the structured church world.
Thank for sharing Pastor Steve Furtick and Charlemagne. The transparency, authenticity and respect that you both have shown to get to know one another is what breaks barriers and truly brings people together. Would you two consider doing a book together or motivational speaking engagements together?
I came across this and I just had to watch it. I have been inspired by both of their stories and this conversation was a different kind of sermon. Seeing how God is using them in their different callings is amazing. God bless you so much,I loved it.
I love this short film. As someone that also came from South Carolina , I can understand alot of what they are saying. Don't be afraid to reach out to others.
I was born in 1980. I can relate to a lot of what y'all are talking about. Especially in the late 90's. I had to step outside of the box and step out of my comfort zone to get a better understanding of the purpose of life. Thank you both for this.
Looking back, can help you look within, to help you "see today" and realise the road you've travelled. Respect to those: For getting back up, every time you were beaten down. It's like stepping into a memory, making you realise that, choosing "the right path", is the beginning. I choose Life.
What a treat for the Spirit this honest-timely God's given conversation this was! THANK YOU Pastor Furtick and Charlamagne for showing us your trust and FAITH. Sooooo good!
Small town roots, the LOVE.. the pain...the pressure...the push, but set up for a BIG PURPOSE!! When your Steps are ordered by GOD! Keep SPEAKING and Sharing. #THECALLING
This video is a great example of how the church ought to engage with the world- by listening in love, encouraging others to know that God passionately loves them despite their wandering and invites them into his family as the prodigal son or daughter. Praise God. So good.
This was such a powerful message, especially the ending statement. They both had to move from their small town to cross paths. Only God can orchestrate the best timing! Praise God
The best conversation I've ever seen.....I just need more this kind of conversation or whatever it is.....Thank God I found this channel.....I think holy spirit lead me to this channel.....
Much respect to Pastor Furtick!! We need to know the word of God and have the armor of God on at all times!! So when the world has a question, we are ready to answer.
So many nuggets of life within this encounter and I thank both of you for sitting down together and sharing your stories with one another and then sharing with the world 🌎 . God bless you both 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you pastor, God speaks to me through you and every sermon makes my faith grow stronger and stronger in Him, you were right sometimes we get disconnected and the devil can only do that, but God has so many ways to pull us back to Him. I love Jesus, I always have and always will. I wait so eagerly every Monday to download your sermons, am addicted 😊 God is my Drug ❤️
God is good and this video was amazing. I know that God was talking to me through this video that at the right time, when I heard Pastor Steven’s words I started tearing. Glory to God!
wow I just found this channel n watched this because of c the god and I'm glad I did. this was refreshing to hear people speak like this. we need more of this and less of the bs social media drama everyday. definitely going to watch and listen to more of these pastors videos. amazing. God bless Everyone
“God is looking for someone to tap” discussing about the opportunity of being a vessel. Such brilliance from these men. Steven pokes at some of the greatest thoughts I’ve ever heard
That's Powerful: to be in that spiritual rim when, "God Taps You" you are ready to go, fearless and without a doubt, to carry out His orders #ProLife #Selflessness
This was so interesting. I’ve watched the both of you separately, and to see you together was quite a surprise. It was nice to see two people with different beliefs have enough respect for one another to remain cool and continue to get to know one another with no hostility. Thank you for showing this.
That was good guys!! Char you have grown so much!! When you said, “I don’t feel like I’ve made it, I feel like I’ve arrive” that resonated something in me to keep going, I’m not trying to make it, I’m trying to reach my calling for what God has for me. And I know being a hairstylist is my key to that!! Great video!!
such a powerful video. from someone who has looked up to both of these men in their respective fields, this was mind blowing and cool. so much redemption

Very inspiring, some will say how do you sit and eat with sinners ? Jesus says it's not the healthy that needs a physician but the sick. Amazing to see the correlation of the same start going in different directions and crossing paths. That's exactly what the Cross is. We started in sin we will end up in Salvation. Glory to God 🙏
Mr. Burke The could have had a conversation about repentance etc like Jesus would have. There was nothing worldly about Jesus. If we are to be more like childish each day we are to strive to be like him daily Jesus went preaching to folks.
I really enjoyed witnessing this coming together between these two. The fact that they can share such intimate details about there past experiences (racial). This was great!
This encounter between these two changed me. I am a Christian already. But there was something about the exchange between them...my heart burned as I listened to them. I felt like I was literally watching the Word become flesh between these two. So awesome.
kaylo492 wow
kaylo492 it definitely sparked some thought in me.
I completely agree😊as Pastor Furtick said it is in the relationship Jesus died to have relationship with us❤️#HolySpirit
I can honestly say I know what you mean.
I feel. The holy spirit was so present in this convo. It made me feel some kind of way.

Same streets, different paths. "We had to leave to meet." I loved this whole thing. I loved the conversations. Brilliant.
Christians need to do more content like this, well done!

So awsome you pointed that out
Penny Lopez 🙌🙌
Pastor Steven, you are an incredible role model. I genuinely appreciated this.
Love love love. Racial reconciliation/these kinds of conversations start in the church

Exactly! Only the power of the Holy Spirit can change people!
Kay Yang
Well said
Amen! I totally agree..
The gospel is about changing people... from darkness to light, a heart of stone to a heart of flesh, from being enemies of God to being His children.
Kay Yang Well said! 👍🏽
Simply Amazing. "We had to leave to meet"
This made me realize that everything starts small and, at the time, you think it insignificant. God can direct your steps....wow.
"People are listening with the intent to reply and not the intent to understand"....pretty much the reason for majority of arguments and fights between family members, spouses, and people of different color or from different parts of the world.
Doinky Deano AWESOME INSIGHT!
And the philosophy of TH-cam
I've ARRIVED because now I know what it feels like to be a man. I'm glad I answered God when he tapped me on my shoulder. Thank you for sharing this video with us Pastor Steven it was life changing.
This was a much needed conversation. Two examples of never becoming of product of your circumstance
I've experienced 36 years of life and God truly is a Good God...
🙏🏼😔
This shit got me emotional I don’t know why
Wow...This film is a SERMON on it's own. Love it!!

I don’t agree with that. Don’t bring Christ into the world. At least from the standpoint of compromising and living in a manner that goes against the will of God. The breakfast club is not the platform to preach Christ.
Jonathan Jacob I think u missed the message of conversation..
Jonathan Jacob then what is the platform to preach Christ?
This is so awesome. Understanding and open conversation is so important. This was awesome.

Whenever I go back to my hometown, Beaumont Texas, I always get a nice good reflection and whiff of motivation. Going back to your beginning and your "core" helps you remember your why. Your why will always help you get from where you're at to where you want to be. Thanks for sharing this!
