Just listening to Lin talk is amazing. He researched this so heavily and to be able to draw these comparisons with modern life and extrapolate why America's revolution succeeded is nothing short of brilliant.
I saw the show a couple weeks ago, and it was life-changing. It is shows like this that make me want to pursue theatre. Lin was the first person to truly inspire in the theatre world, and he has done it once again.

It makes the story of the "little people" rising up against the superpower so much more vivid I think, especially in light of everything that's happened the past couple of years in America with minority groups protesting. i just wished I lived in the US so I at least had a chance of seeing this amazing musical. I know there's rumours about filming it, so fingers crossed, I guess!

If you were to go to Spotify or Itunes right now it would say cast recording and my acting teacher is an acquaintance of Lin Manuel Miranda (you know the guy who wrote it.Just in case you didn't know that either.) and my teacher would be saying the exact same thing to you.

I've seen it happen one too many times, and it's a tragedy, but it's fairly common with successful people.
I was extremely fortunate to see the show on Broadway this past Saturday night, September 5th, and all I can say is if you do not go and see this show you are missing out on one of the best musicals in a decade or more. It is absolutely stunning and the music and lyrics will just blow your mind. If you have the chance go and see it.

After watching the entire performance, in order to capture the attention of the potential urban audiences, there was no dialogue at all without constant music throughout the entire performance. This was deliberately done as five minutes of dialogue without song would have the target audience fast asleep.
Actually, in the Hamilton book, It says they asked a playwright to write spoken dialogue to connect the songs for the Hamilton showing at the Vassar workshop. They found that it couldn’t sustain the energy of the play so they didn’t use it.

They will open at the Private Bank Theatre in Chicago launching an open ended run and then opening a second national tour to tour North America and Canada I believe (Toronto is for sure interested in bringing the show here) 🙂
There are maybe two dozen Broadway Theaters, they are big and the shows have to deliver to fill 2000+ seats every night. Hamilton started off broadway at the Public, smaller theater and you can see what works with the public and what not. Some plays only play off Broadway and dissapear forever. Others, like Rent or Hamilton become a huge hit and move on to the big stage. It cost millions to stage a play like Hamilton with not being sure to get your investment back, so off broadway is a good test to see if the play would work in a bigger setting
