Thanks for the comments! If you go through my videos, I have some older ones that go all the way down to SMU, one of them is a winter video during a snowstorm too. I've thought about calling them up and asking them to help me film all the major highways, trunk routes, and secondary highways. I hope one day to get them all done, maybe they'd be into lending me a hand. Thanks again.
That's a nice downtown area that Halifax has, and I'm not specifically referring to the nice modern buildings, but more so the shopping, dining and entertainment options (I noticed a good number of bars and restaurants on Spring Garden Road). Always wanted to go there, but it's unlikely I'll be able to visit for a long time.
Thanks. Most interesting video this week. Know some streets from Streetview I see that Barrington Street has a new surface for some blocks downtown. nice music
@lexusfan100 Yes, but this semester I'm pretty busy with class and I work on weekends so I've got very little spare time to go for drives. There will be more up in December for sure! Thanks for watching and subbing!
@CAMINOANDALUZ Thanks! It looks a lot quieter that it usually is... this was filmed on a Sunday morning - everything's closed Sunday and everybody's probably still in bed from the night before lol.
This is awesome.. Q.E.H. was torn down long ago. Spent the best 3 years of my life at this High School. Have you done a video on the North West End?? This is where I grew up. Thank you for Sharing. :-) Elaine
I live there back in canada :) really really peaceful place to stay but i live up north more then i moved to peru where they drive crazy and go past on red lights bikes go in middle of 2 lanes dont have lights on turn wrong way in the wrong lane its like a big death trap i was thinking about to make a montage on their driving sheesh o:
Hey, is there any chance you would take a drive through Hunter Street? I would love to see a house I lived in.... and pass Dal's Tupper building, too ;) what are they planning to do with QEH building? Demolish it? hope not...
@HalifaxHercules I couldn't agree more. City council is the worst thing about this city. The amount of projects and developments they've held us back from go on and on. Peter Kelly has got to go. Halifax was also pretty much guaranteed the Commonwealth Games in 2008 but the city backed out at the last minute saying that it would "cost too much". That would have brought the world here and would have done marvels for us. As always, I appreciate your comments and thanks for watching.
Hi, thanks for sharing this amazing video :) I'm considering moving to Canada next year and I really like Halifax. I have a little question for you guys: there is 'good' public transportation in Halifax? I mean, can you survive without owning a car, especially in winter time? Cheers!
Transit is okay. The buses don't have dedicated lanes, so the schedule is unreliable due to traffic. You can get by fine without a car on the peninsula and still survive in Dartmouth, Bedford, and Sackville, but it gets more and more difficult the further out you live or work
Hi my name is trevez just want to my address is 3364 federal aveanew And I like and I have a question for you do you play gta5 or 4 and I have a house but my house is dumb like a pig so tomorrow i Am Sal gonna Kami down blow so see ah tomorrow bye have a good night
Very nice video of Downtown Halifax. Believe it or not, I'm originally from Halifax, particularly the Spryfield area. Since I now live in Western Newfoundland, I miss this city a little bit. Halifax is definitely a nice city, but it definitely needs room for improvement, especially getting rid of the tired and outdated leadership within Halifax Regional Council, which is holding the city/municipality back.
@44lucas Thanks lucas. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but QEH is already half torn down. It's really too bad how they're doing it too; they're just smashing it up with front-dozers and backhoes. What's worse is that they started smashing it down in March and stopped in April so there's just this smashed up looking wreck all hanging to pieces behind some chain link fence. It's awful, not to mention disrespectful. I'll see what I can do for Hunter street!
@CptSchmidt Hey, thanks, that really sucks with QEH, I mean I had some great memories of that school, I know the building was pretty old but why would they want to tear it down instead of brushing it up and...., ugh, thats sad ;( . I lived on Hunter street in an old blue house on the left when going towards Cunard str., used to bike along those streets and past commons to school, then to Dal's Tupper building on College str where my mom worked, ah, I absolutely love Halifax :)

@TaGaMeMNoN1983 They just finished repaving it actually. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy Halifax and hopefully you'll come visit some day.
Thanks for driving me 'round my old stompin' ground Cpt! Keep it up, I'm missing Halifax.
Me too!

Yes it was :D, If you watch my wagon tour video, you can see the Halifax-made label under the hood. Thanks for asking.
@lexusfan100 It's actually pretty low haha. It's a '94 Volvo 940 wagon.
I love Halifax going back in April and nice video

On the other hand, it is a relatively small and walkable city too
